Keeps my goldfish pond at a constant level
The media could not be loaded. Having a goldfish pond is great until one wants to go on vacation. One can ask a friend to feed the fish every few days, but what about monitoring the water level so that it doesn’t fall too much, burning up the pump? This float valve, which hooks up directly to a garden hose, is the perfect solution. Depending on how hot the day, it drips a greater or lesser amount of water into the pond, keeping it at a constant level. What an inexpensive, reliable fix!

Much better than the smaller floats
I had one that worked somewhat well, with a much smaller float - but it never completely shut off and its flow was not very high, so there could be some small fluctuations in water level, but more than I wanted in my 2500 gallon fish pond covering about 175 square feet. This one has greater flow volume and will shut off completely. The longer lever arm and bigger float than the smaller units ensures that there is plenty of upward pressure to close the valve completely. It's not quite infinitely adjustable for the level but ratchets, and that's been OK so far to get the water level plenty close enough to where it's within a 1/4" or so from overflowing if I want it that close (usually I allow 1/2" or so).It was easy to install and with thread seal tape there were no leaks whatsoever. It appears well made and barring any accidents I hope it will last years, which even the smaller ones do. I would buy this again if needed.

Works as advertised.
Working as advertised, great for unmonitored fill. I installed this on my nutrient tank for my hydroponic grow room. Makes refilling and maintaining level trouble free and easy.

I am always building stuff and I had a project in mind of building a fountain and I came cross this item and order it came next day and install and it works great made of plastic tho felt a lil flimsy but works good also adjustable which is awesome

It is made of fragile and cheap plastic
Just by tying the nut you can easily break the threads, also the ball size is way to small to shut off the water unless you pushed up the ball with your hands the valve will shut the water off. I do not buy it again

đź’§ Hydration Paladin: The Valve That Never Sleeps đź’§
From barn troughs to backyard pools, the MACGOAL 3/4" Float Valve is the quiet hero that turns chaotic refills into cruise control. Spin on the 3/4" threads, set the adjustable arm to your exact waterline, and let gravity and simple physics do the rest—no wires, no apps, no drama. The durable plastic build shrugs off rust, the automatic shutoff clicks in right as the surface kisses the set point, and suddenly your pool, pond, or livestock waterer stays topped without you hovering with a hose like a sleep-deprived lighthouse keeper. Installation is wrench-and-PTFE-tape simple; performance is “set it, forget it, brag about it.” If water had a bouncer, this would be it—calm at the door, full inside, and no overflows on the guest list.
