Mary Engelbreit's Nutcracker: A Christmas Holiday Book for Kids

I like to collect holiday books. I love ME art! When I saw this book, I thought it would be a good addition to my collection. The illustrations are beautiful. I would have enjoyed it more if the story kept to the traditional story.

My granddaughter and I both loved this book. There are many versions of the Nutcracker story. I enjoyed this version that was a little different from others but not too different. The illustrations were wonderful.

The illustrations are classic Mary Englebreit, just beautiful! The story deviates slightly from the original, with Clara's name changed to Marie and a fairy tale ending.

I bought this for my granddaughter for Christmas. I wanted her to be able to read every year.

This book is filled with the bright and beautiful illustrations that are the trademark of Mary.Engelbreit's illustrations. My two grandchildren, a six year old boy and two year old girl, both loved the book and asked us to read it over and over again. Yes, even the six year old even though he can read it himself. The book just seems to call out to be read aloud with lots of snuggles. I highly recommend for families.

Sweet Nutcracker rendition by Mary Engelbreit. So happy to add this to my library of holiday books. Mary Engelbreit's art can't help to make you smile...colorful and charming...fun for both the adult and child to look at the detailed pages. If you enjoy having a holiday library, this book is a must- have.

I have been a fan of Mary Engelbreits and a fan of the story the Nutcracker. I was pleased to get this for my 4 yo daughter for Christmas and she is familar with several versions of the story. This version is beautiful, classic, brief and fun. Each page dripping with candy illustrations and lovely details.

I looked at quite a few Nutcracker books before settling on this one. The illustrations are gorgeous and there was just the right amount of text to hold the attention of my 4 year old grandson. We took him to the Nutcracker ballet and this helped him understand the story.

A lovely book from the queen of artwork and illustration. A perfect book for the holidays- it doesn't matter how old you are, it will still make you smile. Great keepsake for any family. The book is well made with thick pages, so will endure for years. It would make a lovely gift for someone special!

Love Mary Engelbreit's work. In depth illustrations and beautiful colours. Lifts one's spirits just to turn the pages of this book.

Gorgeously illustrated and delightful in every way. I bought this as a gift but I might just keep it.
