Ultimate Household Drill and Drive Mixed Set (49 pcs)

This kit is quite possibly the steel of the universe (I was going to say century but it absolutely would spend several centuries!). The only problem that I had is with the 1/8 inch drill bit for wood. It's permanently embedded in one of my kitchen cabinets but it served me quite well for it's life! This kid has all quality products in it and it's not some cheap little garbage kit. It's a very good quality product! It contains just about everything that the average person would need to make repairs and do installations throughout their home and it keeps everything all tidy in one nice little kit. I am absolutely thrilled that I purchased this! I have so many tools and boxes upon boxes upon boxes of drill bits and all kinds of accessories that, even though I have everything mega organized with my OCD self (I even wash drill bits and tools before I put them away 🤣... THAT is unequivocally OCD!) it's impossible to find anything when I need. There are just too many different boxes! This keeps the most often used ones right readily available and a slimline case that you can just put in your pantry up against the wall and it takes up no space. No digging around for the proper accessory when you need it... Just pull out this kit and you're ready to go! Love it love it love it! Now I'm busy shopping for a replacement for my 1/8 in wood drill bit as there's no hope for the one that's embedded in my cabinet 😖 Seems that the drill bit replacement costs as much as the whole kit by other sources. Maybe I'll just buy another kit and keep it in the garage. You would be foolish not to purchase this.

I've owned these now for over 2 years. I am a hobby builder of guitars. I have not used any of he masonry bits, but I have used all of the others. They are all still super sharp. They drill true. They do not smoke from being dull, even when I drill Oak or Ironwood. When I purchased these, the price was embarrassingly low (under $6). I would pay $12 without hesitation. Far superior to DeWalt and Ryobi bits I used to use which were from the big box home improvement store. The only downside is the design of the bit holder piece, which you must swing down to get e bit out... the only thing you can grab to swing it down is a super sharp bit. Danger Will Robinson. Now I just keep a craft stick in the case and use that to pry down the bit holder so I don't slice my fingers.

I bought this drill set to replace one that had seen years of use and have used 4 different sized drills in wood, aluminum, and drywall and have found all of them to work well. Best of all is that none of them walked on the material - they all drilled holes exactly where I wanted them. I do not intend to use them for steel and have had them for only a short time so durability is a question, but for my investment, I am totally satisfied.

This set along with a decent drill can put a hole in just about anything from pretty skinny to 2 1/8”. Except for 1/2”, 1”, and 2” for which you’ll need to add on. I have included what hopefully comes out as a more readable rendition of the bits you get. It doesn’t have the dimpler or ratchet driver of one of the other sets offered, but it handily has four different sized drill stops and some disposable-grade tools like the little hammer and plastic level and tape measure. Handy if you lose your primaries I suppose. Anyway certainly amazing this is all included at this price and if it doesn’t last...well, are you building a skyscraper with this kit?

I’m going to start this review from the scariest point I can think of…. I recently decided to replace all of the shades on the first floor of my house with curtains. I felt like I was living in darkness because the shades can only be pulled up so high. I wanted to try out curtains that would allow the entire length of the window to be used. What does this mean? I was in for a rude awakening about my tool preparedness. I didn’t even have an allen wrench in the house to assist with this project. I had no one else to rely on and knew I needed to find the perfect tool companion. What did I do? I strolled over to my desktop computer and searched for help from my trusty friend named Amazon. It was there that I found this kit with all the bits and bobs one would need to take on such an overwhelming project. When it arrived, I knew I couldn’t put this project off any longer. I timidly began with removing the first shade, expecting that at any step I would be halted because of a missing bit. Can you guess what happened? Step after step passed without so much as a hiccup. 1” bit? Sure thing. 2” bit? Check. It became a beautiful orchestra of drill bits and curtain rods creating a symphony of sunlight in my house, and I was the conductor. I started to offer my services to family and friends who were taking on similar projects. I told them not to bother hiring someone because my FYX Ultimate Household Drill and Drive Mixed Set and I would get the job done. I’ve already helped four other people with their DIY tasks, and I don’t plan on stopping anytime soon. I just finished listening to a podcast about starting your own business and am seriously considering quitting my day job in pursuit of DIY heaven. Truly an ULTIMATE find.

I mean they're really cheap. YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. These are great for one time uses where you're gonna destroy your bits, like when enlarging holes or doing really sloppy work.

I was in need of one drill bit to create pilot holes while installing curtain roads. I took risk on these despite reviews mentioning that these breaks in quickly. These worked perfectly fine for the job. I have since installed 7 curtain rods and multiple other drill holes in studs and not one bit has broken. I have used three different size bits and am yet to use other stuff. It all came neatly packed in one box and all of this for a price of 1-2 drill bit. If you are looking for a set to use in home for light weight work, this will do perfectly.
