Great little Uke once its set up properly.
Not a Dolphin killer but a very nice little Uke. Before being playable by a beginner the action must be lowered at the bridge *and* the nut - out of the box the action is just too high. Easy to fix though, even I could do it. Once set up it's very enjoyable with a pleasing tone - perfect for young players. Great value for money and the only viable alternative to the Makala Dolphin, but nearly half the price.

Buy these Octopus uke’s all others are inferior !!!
Ordered a couple of different branded ukuleles for fun Christmas presents and was pleasantly surprised at the sheer Quality of this octopus uke.Made the others stand out like cheap Chinese knock offs!!So pleased with its quality from chamberlain that I have returned the inferior one back to their sellers and bought more from their website as a few colours on Amazon were not available but were on their site.Fantastic price and quality for learning the ukelele and for fun too.You will not be disappointed.

Lovely sound but some cosmetic damage
I will start with the positives... the ukulele sounds really lovely and I love the colour and the strings used. However the delivery was later than initially advised, the box arrived in pretty bad condition (the octopus box seemed ok though) and the actual uke has a couple of markings and scratches on the back of it, I know this is just cosmetic and doesn’t affect the use but it was still a little bit upsetting to see.Nevertheless I am really enjoying learning how to play and as I said the uke sounds lovely and it’s easy to tune and use.

Great first uke
This is my first ukulele and I think it's great. I bought the mint green and the colour is as advertised. Came on time with a bag that fits it just right. The ukulele doesn't come tuned, but it's easy to tune yourself. Just download a ukulele tuner on your phone or buy a real tuner and you should be good to go.Initial tuning might be a bit intimidating for those who've never tuned a guitar or uke before like me. But the strings held and didn't snap. The uke easily goes out of tune the first couple of days, but will improve as you keep using it for a few days. After a week's use mine still goes out of tune, but only by a small bit as compared to the first day, so it doesn't bother me.Overall, a great cheap first uke.

This item is very well made for the price.
I decided to learn to play ukulele during lockdown. I only had it a couple of weeks but I am really loving learning to play. I would advise getting a ukulele tuner app or device on the Uke as it does need tuning every time you play . All ukulele’s do though . This instrument is very well made and has no sharp edges . Thanks for making my introduction to playing the ukulele easy .

Good looking instrument which sounds great!
Great price, lovely instrument. Present for my 6 year olds birthday, so will have to see how much he will play it, but if he doesn't pay it much, it will still look good displayed on his bedroom wall. I've had a play in advance of his birthday, and am very impressed. I've never played a ukulele before, but to me the sound is great, and it feels like a good quality instrument. It comes with a thin carry case, and has aquila strings on it. From reading about ukuleles, I believe these are good quality strings, which is great on a low cost instrument. I love it so much, that I might buy one of my own. I just need you decide which colour, but it will definitely be an Octopus ukulele as this seems great!

Love love love love love
This is absolutely gorgeous and I don't care about the reviewers saying its poor - I'm not a professional and I'm not trying to be. I joined the school ukulele band as a total beginner and practised hard with this lovely instrument. Then I played (much worse than the students) at the Christmas concert and my very good friend and music teacher loved it so much she bought one too (in purple sparkle of course). It sounds wonderful to my unprofessional, novice ears and to everyone else who's heard it, Inc. musicians, so I stick out my tongue at anyone who says it's cheap and rubbish!!
