My Mum Loved It
People, you need to think outside the box. Pun intended, you see what I did there. The description could not be clearer as to the design and format of this puzzle.I bought this for my Mum to try. She used to love doing 1000 piece puzzles but now she has dementia and cannot cope with these but she still wants to do jigsaws. This one is perfect for her because it has bright colours, not too many pieces but large, sturdy and easy to handle. The whole thing is convenient to use because the puzzle is its own board, I just gave her a couple of sorting trays so she could sort through the pieces off the board. I thought having no reference picture might be a problem & I did photograph it just in case but because the edge is fixed, she used that as a starting point and built inwards from there. She loved the different shapes of the pieces, really had a great time doing this puzzle and was thrilled when she completed it. I shall be buying more of these.

Grandchildren vs Grandparents
Today the fact is that there are many things vying for the attention of small people. Much of this - in my opinion - is designed to remove brain cells and turn bright young children into replicants.Yeah, I know, I sound like some Victorian out of date ancient geezer. Probably some truth in that I guess.Anyway, my wife and I have made a bit of a stand - mostly - and when the Bubs rock up, my twin six year old grandchildren, we make the effort to spend time with them doing old school stuff. And guess what? They enjoy it. The simple action of spending time together making a puzzle seems to engage all of us and the shout joy when a piece has been successfully found is great. So, we buy the odd puzzle to do together and now we usually get asked if we have a new one to do. So we bought this one which meets certain requirements.Firstly, it's not too hard to do. It's challenging enough but with help a couple of six year olds can manage it. With a lot of help perhaps - but I'm cool with that because I get to talk to my grandchildren which, I enjoy.Secondly it's colourful which, always appeals.Thirdly, the pictures are relatively hard edged and that helps locating them on the picture.Overall, it's a puzzle and there are millions. This one kept myself and two small children occupied for about an hour and that folks, is important when it's quality time.

good quality
It is made of a good quality. Some of the pieces have the shape of sea animals which is fantastic. The only problem is that there is no image to use to guide you to make the puzzle, so it can be a bit hard to use for younger kids

No box.No cover picture, so very difficult for a child to do without a guide
I love the picture and the sturdiness of the jigsaw but it really needs to be in a box with a guide picture. That is why there is a low rating.very quick delivery

Lovely puzzle, good quality!
Got this for Christmas present for my 5 year old boy and he absolutely loves it! The puzzle shapes are weird shapes (some of animals which is cool). He will happily sit and do this puzzle and can take a while to do by himself.

Challenging jigsaw with quality printing
This is a lovely jigsaw and quite challenging due to no straight edges and the fact that the pieces are not truly interlocking. My almost 5year old grandson was able to complete it with assistance. He was engaged by the pictures and able to name most of them and I sure that he will return to it on many occasions. The printing is of good quality but the tray is rather flimsy. It would be improved by having a box for storage and a picture for reference. I needed to photograph it and print one out. Hence only a, generous, 4 stars.
