Purchased this product to help even out my cholesterol numbers. I usually have right on the money good/bad/overall numbers, but one time about 13 years ago the 'bad' number shot through the roof inexplicably. Rather than going on prescription medication, I swear to you I ate whole grain cheerios every SINGLE day for 3 months - it worked like a charm and the numbers were all back on track the next time the doc checked them. Lets just say I was relieved things were hunky-dory again, but I hoped to never lay eyes on another round cereal ring as long as I lived .Fast forward to last month and the same thing happened again - that is, my 'bad' number shot through the roof out of the blue. Cheerios are okay every now & again, but the thought of forcing them down daily for months made me find a better oat alternative - enter this Organic Oat Bran Fiber! I have been taking this only for a few weeks so not positive it will work as well as the Cheerios cure, but I'm very hopeful this simple one-scoop a day of easy-dissolving, really no-taste and no funky texture having powdered fiber will do the trick.A bonus as well, this form of oats is only the fiber part so it doesn't add any extra starchy carbs to your diet like whole oatmeal or cheerios would, and it's organic too so more's the better.

For the past 25 years, I have struggled to keep my cholesterol under control. Even with statins, my total cholesterol was consistently over 200. For the past several months, I have been using Swanson Certified Organic Oat Bran Fiber - a scoop in my oatmeal for breakfast, a scoop in a bowl of soup - and my most recent blood test showed total cholesterol of 182! This product is tasteless and isn't noticeable in a bowl of oatmeal, except that it thickens it somewhat, so add a little milk and you're good. In soup, it makes the broth a little thicker and creamier looking, but again, is tasteless. I love this product and plan to keep using it. Thanks, Swanson!

Have used this for several months and although I haven't had a chance to get my cholesterol tested I did notice it has improved my glucose levels. I tested at 85 which is way normal. Last year had a physical and doctor said it was too high almost pre-diabetic. Now I am way interested to see what cholesterol levels are. Swanson's is not quite as high in beta glucan as the more expensive product (starts with an N) but I think you still get results from it. I believe Swanson's is .45G of BG per 7.5 G serving and and 'N' is .75G per 7.5G serving.

Bought this to support a healthy cholesterol. The taste is good. I take it every evening in some juice. I will not know if it has helped lower my cholesterol until I have blood test done next week.

I purchased this after reviewing different types of fiber additives after getting a bad cholesterol test. It is too soon to know if it will help as I just started taking it. However, it blends really easily into my smoothies, I haven’t experienced any bloating or stomach discomfort, and it doesn’t alter the taste. It was another reviewer who gave me the tip to try this over a much higher priced brand. I do like that it is organic.

I ordered 2- and they both had a use date of 4/ 2012, I was surprised to see this, the last bottle was new. I use it to lower my triglycerides, and for the fiber. I hope the next bottles will be new next time.

This is the best fiber I have ever used. It mixes evenly and easily with minimal effort. It also tastes like oat milk. My mom is the one who got me started on it and now my sister uses it as well. We all love it!
