Cute compact conical burr grinder
What a cute little grinder. I am so surprised this little thing can grind very very fine grind. I am an avid coffee lover who's drinking only at home. I roast and grind my own coffee with professional equipment and drink only espresso and espresso based drinks. My machine requires a certain level of fineness to pass water at 8 bar pressure through the grinds. My problem is when I travel. I can't drink Starbucks and of course not the coffees they serve in hotels. So I bring my own coffee, but have to grind it before I travel and which doing so, its freshness is degraded rather quickly and it becomes stale. To keep it fresh I need to grind it everywhere I go; carry the beans and grind only the qty i need to brew. And there it is I found the solution!!!When I got this shiny grinder I didn't think its finest grind will be suitable for my E61 group head machine, but I tried it anyway, and to my surprise, it was too fine for it and I had to adjust it a bit until I got the perfect espresso... Certainly this one is great for French Press, drip or even Turkish coffee. The ceramic burr grinder is a conical burr that you would fine in some more expensive home grinders such as Baratza Vario. I know because I've had many different ones...So if you are a coffee picky person like I am, and need a good grinder for small brews or for outdoors, this one is for you.

The perfect cup, made with "honor"
I think the ONORE grinder is excellent value for coffee lovers looking for a little bit extra out of their daily cup. For very little money you'll get something that will last for many years. The included brush works perfectly for maintaining it at tip-top shape. (It's about quality of the drink, too: you really want to make sure that no stale coffee grinds are left over to "ghost" your fresh, new cup.)The ONORE is a pleasure to hold in my hand, feeling solid and just heavy enough. And I really love the sound of ceramic teeth as they crunch and pulverize the beans. So satisfying! After a few tries, I found the perfect setting for the way I make coffee (French-pressed African beans) and just locked it there.I had a cheap electric grinder for years, and while it did the job, I could never get the perfect grind. I was looking for something more precise, and also something non-electric that could be a more pleasurable part of my coffee ritual. I also like to go camping, and wanted something peaceful and reliable for having the perfect breakfast cup outside my tent. There are many similar grinders on Amazon, but I went with ONORE because I appreciated the extra touch of including the brush and spoon. I also loved the name: ONORE means "honor" in Italian, and I got the sense that the seller really takes pride in the product. After purchase, the seller was good at providing all the maintenance information and prompt at answering questions. I couldn't be more happy with it.The only cons don't apply to just ONORE specifically, but really to all manual grinders: you can grind only very small amounts at once, and it also takes a not-so-short amount of time to grind. If that doesn't appeal to you, then perhaps manual grinders are not for you!

Trouble with grind size
My main complaint is that I can't get the grind results I want. I can adjust the size, but I get a fair bit of finely ground coffee even when I have adjusted for a course grind. As the picture shows, there is a pretty big variation of sizes from the same grinding. :o( I'm planning on returning this item. This is the only manual grinder I have experience with, so I can't compare it to others, but it feels sturdy and is pretty efficient grinding. The amount in the photo of the little window in the grinder, about 1 Tbls, took 20 spins of the handle. I find the grinding ease ok. Holding the smooth grinder without it spinning was challenging whenever there was much resistance. It usually came clean with a simple rinse, although I frequently found a chunk of coffee bean stuck against the burr even though I spun the handle until there was no feel or sound of grinding anymore.

Simple, high-quality burr grinder
Been using this little beauty almost daily for about a month now, and couldn't be happier. Real ceramic conical burr adjusts easily, and the elegant construction disassembles quickly. Just take care with the three little pieces (washer, spring, and plastic part) that sit around the turning rod just above the grinder and do come out. Included brush is a great feature, as it's exactly the size to get all the grounds out of otherwise hard-to-reach places. Small enough to fit in my silverware drawer, and actually grinds about 4.5 scoops at a time, which is perfect for 1-2 people's-worth of french press. Good weight, and made with what seem to be heavy-duty metals and plastics. Someone clearly cares about their product. Not to mention, I finally get a nice, consistent grind for my morning French press coffee! Would recommend.

Worth it!
Bought as a gift for my Hubby. Loves it. Perfect for travel. Will admit, we may be coffee princesses, have been drinking coffee made from fresh grounds for years now and severely dislike freeze dried or pre-packaged coffee. We a challenge when we would stay overnight places, would have to get out an go out for coffee. Now we just throw a small airtight container of beans and the grinder into one of the bags and we're gone. Worth it!

Good grinder in a small package
This coffee mill grinds as well, if not better, than my Hario Skerton. Gave it four stars due to a dent in the cap. I bought it specifically for the retaining screw on the handle. Previously had problems with a similar device, Porlex Mini, where the handle kept slipping off while grinding The one thing the Porlex had that the Onore lacks is someway to attach the handle to the unit. But a big rubber band should do it. Will take it on the road soon.

You get what you pay for
the Cylinder inside gets released from the notch that holds it from free spinning every time I use it and the upper ceramic grinder comes off of the notches that hold it from spinning at the same time as the bottom grinder so it can’t it’s job. Very annoying

A good grinder to start out with.
I puchased this grinder because I read that to make a truly good cup of coffee, I should grind our beans fresh everyday. I wasn't certain that I wanted to commit to that process everyday. My palate isn't that sensitive; I didn't know if I would taste the difference between pre-ground and coffee that's freshly ground. I thought this would be the perfect investment to find out. I am not disappointed.First, the seller was great; I appreciated the materials they provided. They really seem to want to establish a relationship with their customer. The grinder itself is easy to use. However, my husband found that it was a little hard to feel the indents when setting the grind size. And, the grind size seemed a little inconsistent when set wide for a cold brew grind. But, the consistency at smaller grind settings seems good. One negative is that it can be a bit of a hassle to clean. There are more parts to clean than the documentation specifies. My favorite thing about the grinder is how quiet it is. Now that we no longer need it at home, I have zero concerns about using it in the kitchen at work.I'm happy with the purchase.

If I fill the top compartment it grinds the perfect amount for a large French Press of strong coffee
Works as advertised. If I fill the top compartment it grinds the perfect amount for a large French Press of strong coffee. My electric grinder started going on the blink so I got this as an "in case" but have ended up using it exclusively each day. Now my electric grinder is the standby extra. Great product, well crafted and has worked well for me for many weeks now on a daily basis. Thumbs up to be sure!

Looks great on the counter, makes lovely coffee.
Delivery was prompt and product seems very well made. I have been using the grinder daily, and I really like it. If you are into the Minimal lifestyle, this grinder will please you, as it is small and elegant looking. Be aware it takes a little extra internal fortitude to hand grind before your first morning cup, so sometimes I grind the night before. I use the pour-over method to make my coffee, so I adjusted the grinder to produce the size of the coffee granules comparable to the size of sugar granules. Excellent coffee!!

The good. It’s inexpensive
The good. It’s inexpensive, it works well, adjusts simple to change grind size. The bad. It will take you at least 100+ turns it to make one cup of coffee, so if you’re in a rush go electric. It takes the same amount of time to grind the coffee as it does for my kettle to boil a couple cups of water, so I’m usually done at the same time.

Nice but handle has a design flaw
Nice, other than the handle has a design flaw. The hex nub on top needs to fit in the handle so that it can turn the grinder, however the hex portion is only half the thickness of the handle plate. This requires it to have a screwed on fastener (see item pic). Other grinders do not require a fastener because the hex nub is longer/deeper and the handles can slide on and work. The fastener is inconvenient, because it must be screwed on/off every time it's used. Also, this seems like it would wear out. Get a grinder that does not require a screw fastener.

Great hand grinder! No need to fuss with failing electronic grinders!
I bought this hand grinder after my electronic grinder bit the dust (very disappointing!). It's been a couple weeks since I began using the ONORE CAFFE hand coffee grinder. This is a durable hand grinder, and it's grinds my coffee to the coarseness I need it for my French press!! The grinder has many settings so that you can adjust the coarseness of the coffee as preferred. I've raved about this grinder to a few friends, who camp often, and they're excited to buy one for camping trips!!Note: the hand grinding can be taxing, especially in the morning before coffee!! I suggest grinding your coffee beans the night before (though I know this might affect the freshness of the beans). Grinding the night before is easier for me probably because I'm a night owl, and I do it while watching the evening news :)Enjoy!!

it was mildly annoying to manually grind the beans but I've really come ...
I use this as my daily grinder and travel with it as well. At first, coming from a burr automatic grinder, it was mildly annoying to manually grind the beans but I've really come to enjoy the ceremony of it all. I've had this for about a year now and it's still in good condition. i've dropped it a couple of times and don't seem to have broken the ceramic grinder. The grind isn't consistent (ie some bigger grounds, some smaller ones) but I still good really good quality brew from this (I usually do french press).
