Love this privacy screen. It's good quality and has been working great for me all week. When sitting in close quarters (side by side on an airplane, for instance), the person next to you can see about half the screen. For optimal privacy, you should turn the brightness of your screen down until you can't see it, then back up one notch. This will ensure supreme security. They will be able to see vague outlines, but will be unable to read anything. I love this screen for the ease of use. I used the tabs to fasten, which makes it very easy - when I don't want to use it, I can slide it out no problem, and slide it back in when I do want it. Takes about two seconds! The tabs are clear, so I barely notice them. I also appreciate that it came with two sets of tabs - my hand slipped and I misapplied one of them, but they had sent a backup set so I could just use a new one! Little convenience things like that make me appreciate the company more. Definitely would buy from this seller and purchase this product again.

This is the second time I have purchased this product for different computers. It works perfect. I need privacy when working on sensitive information and this screen does what it is supposed to do, It KEEPs the nosey people from seeing . This one was for a laptop and it fits the screen, the tabs allow me to remove the privacy screen at home and slide it back in when I'm out in public. I kept the original envelope to store it in. The one thing I wish it came with is a felt sleeve to keep the scratches off it when I'm not using it. It does make the laptop screen a little dim, but that is fine for working. Watching movies, I just remove the screen. It is worth the price.

By many standards this is the best privacy filter I ever had in more than a decade: - precise cutouts - perfect fitting - perfect adherence - antiglare - flexible - thick plastic = impact protection and lightweight - no interference with the sound or camera systems - no noticeable interference with touch features... Really quality product. I installed it in less than 5 min sitting in a busy airport lounge, and it looks perfect. This is unthinkable with most other products that I’ve used. The adherence system is particularly impressive. Now, very unfortunately - it is not a real privacy filter. Differently from major brands - I probably tried them all over the years since early 2000’s, 3M providing the best privacy/usability - with this you can see things on the screen at any angle. From a privacy perspective, this flaw defeats the purpose. It feels more like an old TFT screen blurring the contents when you look from an angle. A bummer. - No “4D” protection - it only blurs from sideways, not from the top or down - that’s not an issue for me, quite the opposite actually, but I can imagine some people would be disappointed. The manufacturer should at least mention this. All in all, if I were using my laptop in a bank, like I was not too long ago, this product would be a ”no go” and I would return it, but since my purpose is to reduce glare, screen brightness and provide impact protection, it is great. But really wish they had done a better job sourcing the privacy filter manufacturer. And be aware that once you buy it, they will start spamming you using the e-mail provided bu Amazon, asking for reviews, etc. which is idiotic.

Loved this product. Does the job as described. There is an option to apply to product permanently or temp, which works best for people who want to experiment. I went ahead with the temporary option, it's neat and clean. Privacy filter works fine and shields folks sitting next to you from viewing it. The only drawback is anyone exactly behind you from a far off distance can still view your screen...but thats ok with me. Also, the screen doesnt exactly fit, there is a thin 1mm gap at the top edge. Overall, I'm happy with it and would highly recommend. The quality of the filter is fantastic for the price.

The product packaging arrived as expected, in a sealed cardboard sleeve. Upon opening it I was surprised to find the screen with filthy, scratched, and covered in splotches. I can only assume it is either used or whoever was behind packaging sneezed on it, dropped it, and used it as a makeshift sled on concrete before sealing it in the packaging sleeve. But, I figured it would be a big deal because it's just the film that covered the screen and will be peeled off anyway. As instructed I put peeled off the front sticker marked 1 and the film came off removing a good amount of the "used" look. I set it against my laptop and peeled off the sticker marked 2. As with the first, it began to peel the film but about an inch in it snapped. No biggy right? I just grabbed what was lifted and continued by hand. It was in peeling back another couple of inches that I noticed something strange, the film was really sticking hard to the screen, so much so that it began to split. I used my man strength and pushed on only for it to split almost entirely. I seeing no way to fix this I submitted my request for a refund. Either this layer was not intended to be removed or is glued so well on the rest of it, it never will be. Lastly, for those who are still considering this product or just want to know, both sides are a matt finish.

I have Flex 5 (no edges), so this is a perfect fit. We first got another product from Akamai, which was for screens with edges and it didn't fit. Akamai contacted us first how we like the other product, and when I raised a concern on how the tabs didn't quite work due to no edges, they told me about this product. I didn't even know they carried one specific for all glass screen. They offered to return the other product so I could get this one. This screen filter just sticks on perfectly & smoothly, like a magnet sheet. It also is an easy off. I don't think I will need to take it off, but if I ever do, I know it'll just come off easy. It kind of feels like those screen protectors for smart phones, but it goes on much smoother (no bubbles) and goes off easy (not having to worry about damaging the filter). As far as privacy is concerned, it does what it should do. You have to be sitting right in front of it in order to see your screen. I would give 10 stars for the quality of the product & Akamai's customer service.

I needed this for my business trips so that people sitting next to me on economy class in the tightly ever so airplane wouldn't see my screen. (I'm not that important or make enough to sit in business class but that is besides the point). I give 3 of 5 for the following reason 1) It kinda works (-2 star), the screen dims (key point here for my lower score) and makes it harder for the people who takes a view at your screen from the sides (left and right view angle dims; doesn't dim up an down). However...if your screen has high brightness you could still see the information on my screen from the sides and not 100% blocked. I had to play around with my brightness setting to a level which I felt comfortable enough to protect against nosy person or corporate espionage who are sitting next to me, if your behind me your in luck! Peak a way! Comment: Pay a bit more if your going long term and for full privacy get the reflective one instead of just dimming so you do not have to adjust brightness setting on your screen. 2) I wish I knew I needed a squidgy to remove the bubbles of my screen holder that I stuck to the laptop; Pet Peeve, Slightly annoying to see (0 star) 3) Cost (0 star); For 30-40 dollars, you should get two screens. In my personal opinion if you can find a deal for around 20 dollars or less it would be worth it. Maybe cheaper aftermarket knockoffs would be better instead of a brand name ones for personal use. 4) +1 Easy installation, no complaint (just break the holder in half and stick it... you'll see) 5) +1 Durable, Don't test it and scratch it with knife, of course it'll scratch. Its durable and I plan to stick it on my laptop for a while. Laptops only last 3-5 years anyway. Hope that helps

I was worried by some comments saying it didn't really work but it works exactly like I was hoping it would and better than the comments on here suggest. Not some what standards others have. If someone is right next to you on the side (like on a plane), maybe they can see it a little if your brightness is turned up. But at that point, they are just a nosy person and there is nothing you can do about it. But space yourself out like normal (say 3 feet to the side) and they won't see a thing. They will see it if they are standing over your shoulder but that is expected. Overall, product works as expected. If you turn your brightness all the way down, even you will have a hard time seeing the screen from straight ahead. That's a pretty good privacy screen IMO.
