These have been thrown down, up, and across everything - they have been left out in a storm and ended up submerged in water - they have been chewed on by dogs - and still going strong.

We bought these for our 4 year old granddaughter who loves to bird watch. She is able most of the time center on things, but sometimes (with the 'patience' of 4 year old) gives up and moves on to something else. We adults are very impressed with the visual capabilities, the light weight, and ease of use these binoculars provide. We would definitely purchase them again.DGZBabyBear

It arrived dirty. There was a dirty mark on it. Of course I ordered it the week of Easter and opened it the night before when I went to make their Easter baskets so too late to return and had to give it to him. My 6yr old realized right away his was dirty unlike his brother’s green pair. He asked “how come the Easter bunny gave me a dirty one?!!” Couldn’t clean it off either. Also it was missing 1 of the straps and the glass cloth that the other pair came with so this was obviously a used pair that was returned.

Christmas gift for 4 year old great grandson. He was fascinated by how he could see so clearly across the street. His dad has a telescope that they use together and these binoculars kind of made sense to him on a more “localized” level.

This product is sold as a child's toy, but they are more than capable for field use. As the other reviews have attested, they are superior quality. They are compact in size, but these sturdy binoculars feel stout in your hands. Folding is fluid yet robust. The focus wheel is easily accessible and quite responsive. If you are giving these to your child to use as a toy then you can hardly do much better. If you are going to use these yourself at a sporting events, concerts, or bird watching then you won't be disappointed.

These were perfect for my grandchildren ages 5 through 10. They liked having their own binoculars for walking in the woods and visiting outdoor animal exhibits. The overhead strap was essential.
