It's a bowl- but it's width means mixing is easier. It's wide - but its splash guard makes speckling your kitchen with pancake mixture a thing of the past. There's a lid - but you don't have to remove it totally when you need to whisk the batter you left standing; the beaters of your hand-held mixer can enter through the aperture left by the lid. I've only just got around to using this bowl today. I used it to make chocolate buns - normally when I mix the flour in with my electric whisk it goes everywhere no matter how careful I am! Today - hardly any flour escaped the bowl which made cleaning up afterward much easier!I wasn't sure this bowl would be big enough but I made my usual sized batch with no issues. I had no problem using my electric whisk through the opening and reached all of the bowl easily. When I took the lid off everything was properly mixed in. It's also well made and sturdy. I really like it and would be happy to recommend it.

I purchased this product so that when mixing cakes, icing, cream etc I don't get the contents splashing up everywhere. It is great and solves this problem very well. A good size and very sturdy. My mother had something similar which I always used when helping her bake. I can't believe I've left it so long to by one for myself!

I used to have a Tupperware jug like this. I was fed up with flour shooting everywhere when I put a hand held mixer into a bowl, which prompted me to make this purchase.As with its predecessor, this bowl works. However, it is tapered in shape, which detracts from the stability. The item worked well, stopping the spatters, but the stability issues mean you have to hold it tightly whilst using it .For the price it’s good.

Stops cream, batter mix and any other liquid splashing everywhere when mixing, once mixed , with the lid plug replaced, can be stored in fridge until needed.

I love this container. It's strong and durable to handle beaters whilst cooking and you can just put the lid on and put in the fridge. The bottom has a grip too so that it doesn't slide everywhere. Highly recommend.
