Cheaper than a Generac
I love mine. We set it up with our breaker box (per electrician), cheaper per than a Generac. š¤·š¾āāļø

Great value for the capacity - seems to be a quality unit
I already owned an older smaller generator, and during hurricane Ian it worked well but could no longer run my whole house A/C as it and the A/C had aged. I wanted a unit with more capacity so that I could run my A/C and simultaniously a few additional appliances such as my refrigerator and freezer. After looking at reviews and competition, I selected this Duromax. My brother owned an older Duromax and is very happy with it. I ordered it and selected a ship date. Amazon kept me appraised on the delivery. The delivery window was 7 am to 5 pm and this showed up around 10 am (but no more granular detail than that). The delivery folks showed up in an Amazon truck but were subcontractors. They were a tad rougher than I would have liked with the physical delivery, but I imagine it saw worse on the trip here from Vietnam.I unboxed the unit and assembly was about 1.5 hours. The manual was sparce, and the photos for assembly were poor, but I suppose that if you are buying one of these they expect you know your way around assembly without much instruction. You only had to remove some shipping braces, put on the wheels and handles. It did not ship with oil, so I had to go out and purchase 2 quarts.Once assembled, the unit fired up immediately. It was much quieter than I expected. I connected it to my whole house connector with the cable I just purchased on Amazon. All worked well. I put a good electrical load on the unit and the voltage held. So far I am very happy with this unit and would recommend it as a value way to get a whole house generator without paying the cost of a Generac or other unit.

noise, distance, size, usage in detail review
So, i hooked up the generator to the house, ran a few tests and the performance is sufficient for my set up. I'll start with the quickest first, then break it down below.1) Noise level.>Standing next to the exhaust it hit a max of 99.9dba>standing on the other side of the exhaust 3 feet away 92.9dba>standing on the other side of the exhaust 10 feet away was 86 dbabuilt a box out of plywood with an exhaust fan, insulation and door on concrete, 72dba (still pretty loud outside)> standing in the house, about 15 feet away, in the box with the doors closed was around 50dba (hard to get a reading with the kids yelling. could be heard very minimally in a small enclosure.2) running the whole houseI ran the generator to power the entire house, i'm not an electrician, i also don't really know what these amount up to in terms of watts, but you can average them out yourself with an idea.I have 2 refrigerators, 1 soda Vending machine, 1 deep freezer, 1 IBM server, 1 gaming pc, 1 DVR w/ 6 POE cameras, 1 work PC (total of 8 monitors through out the house) led lights through out the house. 2 - 75" tv's, 4 - 40" tv's (6 kids), 12 charging dock stations for various tables, 2 POE access points, a POE switch and regular router. various other electronics as well. so you have an idea of size. the generator handled the load no issues for a solid 30 minute test.3) weightGenerator is pretty heavy, difficult for me (a smaller person) to get up a small 3" curb even. once the wheels and handles are assembled it's relatively easy to maneuver around, but not for lifting.4) assembly + access>the oil is easy to get to with a funnel, took about 1.2qts if i remember correctly.>battery requires you to take off a plate to access, which you have to do to connect it to the terminals before usage.> gas is pored directly on top, would have been nice to have it on a side with a little corner piece cut out, but i don't really know if generators have this type of flexibility. it holds 8.3 gallons total, as a little dummy gauge on it.5) overallI gave a 4 star mostly for noise and a small portion towards lifting points, otherwise if it had a better muffler and some better areas for gripping it'd be a 5 star. Not much can be expected in terms of weight, it's a generator it's going to be heavy.

Great generator, Great manufacturer !!!
I purchased this generator almost 3 years ago. Used it to power a small flux core welder and a 5 HP/30 gallon air compressor. After 2 1/5 years it blew a rod. Made a hole the size of my fist. Looked up the information on the manufacturer warranty. It had a 3 year warranty from date of purchase. Within a week from contacting customer service. They had me drop it off at a small engine repairshop 25 minutes from me. A brand new motor was sent and they installed it. I had it back around 3 -4 weeks time. I came out of pocket $0.00 Dollars! My next generator will be a DURAMAX!!!

Make sure you get a warranty
No good had to get it fix 3 times in one year only had it for a year. Lose metal pieces found in oil when we changed it as if was falling apart insde tried to return it or get some help with it from the company and nobody respond. Still have it sitting in my garage. š”
