I bought this last year for my son to use in high school art, geography, and biology, to color maps, diagrams, and art work. While the long strap has snaps in odd places that don’t really make sense, it is otherwise an excellent set. The pencils are a great quality and I would say on par with Crayola brand… I just sharpened all of the pencils myself to start a new school year and there is no reason they won’t last another year or so. The canvas roll is very durable and securely holds the pencils in an organized manner while the bottom flap protects the sharpened points, and it’s great to have all the colors neatly laid out in front of you when it’s time to work… no digging in a bag or box. The tiny ruler and sharpener it came with wouldn’t stay in place and were shoved in a drawer right away for some other use, especially as he uses a 12” ruler anyway and we have some larger basic pencil sharpeners that sharpen these colored pencils with ease (best to sharpen in multiple short turns of the pencil, frequently checking your progress, rather than trying to go round and round quickly… this way you won’t overexpose the lead where it will fall out when you try to use it). We are very pleased with this set and recommend it to any student or artist needing an easily transportable set of nice quality colored pencils!

I had used another brand of pencils for a long time but they have become increasingly difficult to find. I went on to my favorite online marketplace...Amazon!...and found this set. They are affordably priced and came with a cool little case as well for figured I would take a shot. I am glad I did. They are good quality and are lasting quite a while as well. In fact, I have reached out to the company to inquire about replacement when the time comes. I would recommend these.

I was surprised how much I love these. I think they blend well and are soft cover well I would put them close to prismcolor versions. I am very pleased with purchase

Two things I would change: 1. The pencil sharpener falls out all the time. Maybe a tiny mesh pocket with an elastic band opening would be better. 2. The brown lip holding the pencils always slips. I have to hold it open to get it in each time. It’s a two-handed job. I wish I could just slide it in.Confusing: after I roll it up and snap it shut, there’s some more nylon slack and another snap at the end. What’s that snap for?Favorite thing: it has two of each of the best graphite pencils. We all know we don’t need one of each on the scale. And 6B, that’s always the one my art class runs out of first.I also appreciate that peach-ish skin tone color. I can blend colors to get the others shades of people, but the fairness of it makes it hard to create. So much appreciation there.

A perfect gift set for people confine to a wheelchair or an artist. Nice variety of colors. The pencil sharper is fantastic! I've bought many pen sharpers in the past from major office supply stores and was very disappointed. The travel case is perfect for for storing since it takes very little space and you can wash it if it gets dirty. People will definitely be impressed and thank you for this set!

I purchased this for a student moving out of Middle School into the HS as a special gift. This student is wildly artistic and cannot even grasp the depth of their gift. It was purchased with a sketch pad and for encouragement to continue creating. It’s compact and easy to tote along. I’m thrilled it was received with such excitement and it was the perfect gift.
