Bing: Get Dressed

We love Bing
We received our first BING book when my son turned 2. He loved it so much that I immediately hopped on Amazon to try to get all that were available. Now my son is 4, and he still loves hearing the BING stories, as I read them to his 2 year old sister. BING makes our whole family smile. Thank you Mr. Dewan for books that are funny, silly, colorful, and truly a breath of fresh air.

Bigger Version of Bing is Delightful
So glad the Bing books have been reprinted! We have the smaller hard bound, but these large paperbacks are very nice! I always give them as gifts to introduce moms and their children to this series that kids love.

Yup-it's great
My 2 year old just loves this book, it's her new favorite. It's so fun to watch Bing Bunny get dressed all by himself and exercise his independence. The best thing about this book for my daughter is her excitement as she says "Yup" as they do in the book when they keep asking can you put your socks, shoes etc. on all by yourself-my daughter squeals "YUP" just like Bing. A fun and easy read and a perfect length for toddlers.

Bing Fun
Bing Bunny is a huge hit with both of our sons, ages 2 and 4. "Bing: Get Dressed" served as their introduction to the quirky little bunny and his ever-present pal, Flop.Their adventures tend to be short and sweet -- Bing and Flop tackle picnics, bedtime and making pictures for daddy, among other things -- and our little guys had most of the dialogue committed to memory after just a few reads. The books are perfect for developing attention spans, and there's a reoccuring theme of staying upbeat in the face of adversity that parents can embrace, too.

If the world were run by toddlers...
Bing would be a superstar! I never would have picked up this book, but my two-year-old grabbed it at the library and wouldn't let go. This book follows the usual arc of tragedy to triumph as Bing tries to dress himself, and then the unexpected happens -- he pees his pants. Didn't see that coming. Luckily his friend Flop is always calm and non judgmental -- it's no big thing, just take off those "dungarees" and get dressed again. Something about this series really speaks to the toddler, and the three Bing books we now own are perennial favorites. Give Bing a try!

It's a Bing Thing!
I wish Bing were as popular in America as Barney is. These books are a hoot and my son just can't get enough of them. I checked all 8 out from the library and had to end up buying them.Bing is a bunny who interacts with his stuffed animal Flop. The books show Bing learning colors, foods, potty training, etc., all in the course of a day.Adults will enjoy the '60s vibe of the cars, houses and furniture in the books.Maybe an animated Bing show in America will make these books as popular as they deserve to be.

Disappointing Bing...
My Grandson of 2 1/2 is a huge Bing Bunny & Flop fan so I was confident he would love this book but I was surprised how basic the story line was & how economic the background detail .I read it to him before bed last night with enthusiasm & expected him to be excited but I was sad to see that he easily lost interest in the story & the pictures that are primarily of Bing & Flop. He remembered the sun through the window to wake them up & Bing wetting himself but he didn't ask for it to be read again..After repeatedly enjoying rhythmic books that we can be heartily silly with such as Down by the Pool (since 14 months old) , The Gruffalo & Room on the Broom I think this is a bit too basic for him despite his love of the program so maybe 2* is a little mean. I am sure younger children will enjoy this book.

LOVE Bing Books
Bing is an instant hit with the smalls, all the books seem equally appealing, the are a small size, robust from small hands, and can fit in the pram easily. I would say perfect for 7 months to 3 years? Stories are simple and sweet, not super sentimental I like this one especially because of the potty training reference, which doesn't make a big fuss in a 'oh well this happened, let's get dressed again' way. Which, given how many times tots pee all over fresh clothes, is refreshing, and avoids the exasperation that can get put on little people for understandable reasons

Bing gets dressed.... and wets himself !
I bought this for my two year old. It is colourful but very basic. Annoyingly, once Bing evenutally gets dressed he has an accident and then has to get dressed all over again. We are almost ready to start potty training, so I didn't think this book set a great example. It's on the bookcase now and is rarely taken down for this reason!

Charming
Great books that complement the TV series ( or should that be the other way round?!) my 18 month old is just starting to think about dressing himself and this helps him get thinking. The Bing books are perfect for toddlers as they are clear, captivating and simple. They know the themes that the age group can relate to and each book has a good structure.

My five children all loved growing up with these books (I've bought multiple copies of each as they kept getting loved to death!) and I've just bought more for my nephew who is one and a half. Shame they don't have them in the small hardback version they used to have, as they were much easier for toddlers to handle though.
