Makes your car battery change a breeze
This product was super easy to use as the instructions were extremely clear and simple to follow. The LED indicators on the unit light up nice and bright so you know you have a connection before disconnecting and installing your new battery. No more have to wait 2-3 gas fill ups for your car to relearn anything. I don’t know why I didn’t find this sooner. It’s a lifesaver if you’re a DIY car person.

Works well!
I used it during the battery change on our Highlander SUV and it retained all the settings it had and experienced no problem nor had to make any adjustment to our car setting. I liked that it came with both the OBD2 connector, and the aux/cigarette plug flexibility. The light indicator for proper connection is nice, but it's a bit awkward to see it since it's located on the OBD2 connector and it's facing down under the dashboard when connected. The cord too short for most cases to reach the other good battery, so I used my jump cables to extend the cord's reach.

Used this today
I needed to clean the corrosion off the battery post but didn't want to lose my Sirius radio. That is a hassle. Connected this to the battery on my riding mower and the ODBII port in the car. Worked like a charm.

ESe of use
Changed battery on a 2020 jeep cherokee. Data saver worked great. Wish I had this in the past.

Worked well until blowing a fuse
Recommend checking which fuse your OBD port runs through; this can take some research and/or trial and error since it isn't always listed in the fuse panel listing. Mine tabs through a 7.5A fused circuit which burned up when hooked to the battery current. Comparing circuit for the power outlet used in the other connection option might provide a higher fuse amp rating.

Worked great
Easy to use and worked as advertised. Used the OBDII method after correct pin for power (pin 16). A spare small ATV battery worked fine for providing power. Appears all settings where maintained. Conflicting information on what vehicles maintain what settings if power is removed but I wanted to play it safe. Especially wanted to maintain the engine self-tuning memory.

Worked Perfectly
I used this to save car settings while I changed my car's battery. I used it with the car's OBD port. It worked perfectly. I don't know if this is a valid remark but the direction of the OBD port on my car has the status lights on the product directed toward the floor so that I had to lay a mirror on the floor in order to see the device's status lights. Not a major issue.

Worked Flawlessly
Needed to replace a battery in a 2017 Outback and was wanting to retain all the settings. Scoured Amazon and finally decided to take a chance on the allsun. I really liked the idea of the lights indicating everything was ok. I was VERY nervous as if this damaged the car electronics this would get very expensive fast. I plugged the unit into the OBD II which was under the dash on the driver's side. Immediately saw one green light meaning the connection was successful. I had a small 12 v battery from my JDeere lawn tractor. Placed it on the floor and then connected it to the allsun. Got both LED indicators showing green. Disconnected the Outback's battery, went to NAPA and got a replacement. Installed the new battery and then disconnected the allsun from the OBD II. Turned over the vehicle and all settings were still there. Perfect. Would highly recommend.

Works great
Well packaged, well made, clear instructions.I connected through the OBD2 port, so I can't speak to the secondary input through through the 12 V socket.I had the car battery disconnected for ~20 minutes, on reconnecting the car battery and disconnecting the memory saver I found the connection at the OBD2 port was warm, but not hot.I used a 12V M/C battery as my memory saver power supply.

Very versatile - connects 2 ways
I bought this tool as it will save memory for my vehicles while changing batteries. I like that you can use a spare battery or a 12 volt port inside another vehicle to back it up because they give you alligator clips and a male cigarette lighter type plug - your choice which you want to use. - most of these Data Savers don't . The only thing they could have done to improve would be a fuse on the positive clip so I will be adding a inline fuse holder before use just to protect circuit if using a backup 12V battery. It does have LED lights to let you know if incorrect or low voltage on backup battery which is a nice touch.

Not that good
Loses memory after about 5 minutes using portable power (12-volt battery) source.
