Dell E198WFP 19" Widescreen Flat Panel LCD Monitor

This is the best monitor I have ever owned. I use it for gaming and it works great. There is no lag that I can see and the display is very crisp. The anti-glare matte finish is the icing on the cake. When I get my new desk and start my multi display setup I will be purchasing two more. Would definitely recommend this product.

What's there to say. Perfect monitor, perfect price. Totally satisfied. It has nice rich color, and it hooked up fast and easy.

I had a problem with the unit received damaged and am still awaiting a resolution to the loss? We emailed but he never resolved the problem so I remain waiting in limbo....

I've used a few LCD monitors, including desktop monitors and laptop monitors. This one is a very crisp display, better than the Acer I have at work which is not so good. The colors look good.There is somewhat of an issue with the vertical viewing angle being pretty narrow, so that if I adjust my position in my seat and my eyes are several inches higher/lower then brightness can change noticeably. I'm a graphic designer so sometimes this is frustrating for me when I'm trying to find the right color. The side to side viewing angle is not a problem at all. I've never noticed any shift when I move side to side so it must be a very wide angle of tolerance.I would buy this monitor again. The color shifts I mention are an occasional annoyance but it's still a good monitor and a good value. Look around for the best price as it varies.

Having previously owned a Dell monitor (15") I am quite disappointed with the E198WFP. The resolution is not up to snuff, and I've researched until I'm blue in the face to try and find out how to get it to display at the advertised resolution of 1440x900. Updated drivers don't do the trick. In the meantime I'm stuck with a less-than-pleasing display. My 15" Dell was far superior. I'm guessing that at the price, this is a model that Dell has discontinued from it's product line. I can see why. My advice? Look at other flat panels and leave this one alone!

This was exactly the monitor I wanted because the resolution exactly matches the 13" Macbook Air I use. I had a very expensive EIZO monitor connected to the MBA for a while but because it's pixel ratio was not the same as the MBA, the text was always a bit soft. This monitor isn't particularly fancy but it can be adjusted vertically and is nice and sharp at 1440x900 which is really all I needed. For my simple requirements it was perfect.
