nicely lays on the counter with rubber tabs under. it does not work well for crumbs, as the center of the tray gaps.

This is great cutting board you can peel fruits or Vegas and sweep the mess into the tray which is easily removed it cleans up nicelyAnd protects your counters.

great inexpensive version
This thing rocks. I love that the cutting board is nice and big and the tray pops on and off so easily. I do wish I could have bought the expensive fireman's version, which pioneered this idea and is way better materials, but it's out of my price range right now.
