I cannot see what is so special about this item, to charge such a high price makes you wander if the manufacturers don`t want their stuff fixed--shame on you. Some shower manufacturers are the same--charging rediculous prices for spares

The problem with this product is that it only lasts ...
The problem with this product is that it only lasts for about 2 years. The threaded tube housing the valve being made of plastic weakens over time and suddenly breaks rapidly flooding the area and creating an emergency repair situation. Since there is no robust alternative I always keep a spare.
