Krebs Recycle 6 Ft Climbing Rope Dog Leash

made in the usa, from reused climbing rope! cant complain about the sourcing :) the company packages it in reused brown paper bag, so the packing is even low impact and eco friendly.the rope is very high quality climbing grade rope. i've returned cheaper leashes that use the rough nylon cord... this is the real deal here. can drag it around the ground and not have to worry about it getting frayed. the rope is heat sealed where it has been clipped, looks like a good seal that won't fray over time. and where the rope is doubled over to seal the loops at either end, the bindings are covered with a bit of cloth that is sewn on, much better than some of the plastic shrink wrap that i've seen used in the past, that stuff always just slips off and becomes as hassle.only minor draw back for me was that the snap clip where it attaches to the dog's collar is quite large and heavy. a little larger than what the standard size is. if you have a little dog, something under 25lbs this might be a little burdensome for them. after awhile i came to appreciate the larger clip, as it perfectly fits the width of the rope so you can clip the leash to itself in a loop and wear it around your waist or what have you.overall its a fantastic, well made, eco-friendly, rugged dog leash. im sure this will last my pooch and i a few years :D

I love these leashes. This is my third purchase of a Krebs Recycle leash, not because they have worn out, but because I like to have one handy in the car, by the dog kennels, and to walk the dogs. My first Krebs Recycle leash is over 5 years old and is used daily. Aside from it being a bit dirty from regular use (which is easily fixable with a good wash) it is in terrific shape. The stitching has held up perfectly and the hardware has not rusted. The rope is comfortable and flexible in hand. I feel especially good purchasing these because they're repurposed. My favorite leash!

This is my second dog leash and was purchased as an extra. I stick with the 4 foot leashes and love that you can easily and securely loop it around your wrist to prevent accidentally dropping the leash or your dog taking off and the leash slipping out of your hand. This is the only leash I will buy.

This leash is as tough as we hoped for. Multiple years of use and no signs of needing replacement. Our dog isn’t a chewer, but we do let her drag it around on occasion, pull it through the sand, etc and it’s held up great

I really like this lead and it's held up very well. I bought 2 of them and I have to admit I was a little worried about durability. I have 2 strong pit bulls who walk well on lead most times, but when they don't, I need a strong leash. I use the leads every day. I've had them for about 2 months now and they still look great. The rope is soft on my hand so no need for padding and never any rope burns. There is nothing fancy about these leads. It's a good solid product.

Do you need a 10mm climbing rope to walk a 15 pound wiener dog? No. But boy does it feel good in the hand.

We got the leash in this picture five years ago and it has been our go to leash for its versatility and ease of use. I see some people leaving negative reviews and I felt the need to provide an alternate perspective. This is the leash that we take to the beach 3 to 5 times a week. Finally after five years of service, the salt and sand finally wore through the clasp. But look!! The rest of the leash is in pretty good condition despite the sand and salt water and general mis-treatment by our family and dog! Obviously we immediately bought a new one when this one finally gave up.Excellent value for the money, you can’t go wrong buying this leash!
