Good Quality
These are good wraps. I use them on days when i do heavier pushing exercises, such as barbell bench press. Unfortunately, the Heavy version of the wraps are very stiff, too stiff for me in my opinion, and i should have gotten the style that was slightly more flexible than this set. This Heavy version would be best for powerlifters. I personally have very small, bony, angular wrists/forearms (7.25" at the smallest circumference at the forearm) and these are too inflexible to the point that they can dig into your skin/boney prominences causing discomfort. I would have personally preferred a more flexible fabric that would better mold around my wrist. I took a risk buying the Heavy version, but should have probably bought the Medium version. Still, i like the wraps and they provide more than enough rigidity to keep your wrists from suffering a major injury. I think these wraps would be best for people that are only doing less than 5 rep sets with a very heavy weight. For example, If i am doing barbell bench press, I generally do around 10 rep sets with a more moderate weight around 225 lbs, and these are too stiff for that application IMO even though its within the suggested weight range. If i were trying to set a 1-3 rep max these would be ideal. Nonetheless, i still use them on all push exercises to keep my wrists stable and in position and they serve that purpose. I honestly would not feel comfortable doing heavier push exercises without these anymore, because I have injured my wrist several times not wearing wraps. Do yourself a favor and use protective gear like these to keep your joints in better condition.A few more positives, they are very nicely made, and very durable thus far. Velcro attachments still work as if they were brand new. Thumb loop helps getting them on nice and tight. The styling with the black and white suits my tastes. The product itself has no real faults, but next time I will get the Medium version

Amazing quality for an incredible price!
Review of Contraband Sports 2-stripe Heavy, 18" wrist wraps.I am very happy with my purchase from this company. This isn't my first time using wrist wraps either. My first powerlifting meet was over 4 years ago. I have 2 draw string bags of different wraps/straps from multiple companies. And with that being said, I am completely impressed by the quality of these wraps.Pros:•Right & Left thumb loops. I am still shocked by companies cutting costs here by making them only one way...•Thumb loop stitching is on the outside of the wrap. I have heard other lifters getting their wrists rubbed raw when the stitching is in the inside, especially when breaking them in.•The velcro area is longer comapred to other wraps allowing more variance in wrapping/size of wrists and still connecting to the velcro. Also, allowing a greater area to be velcroed for a more secure fit.•The tongue of the wrap has a rubber coated logo on it making it easier to grip the wrap to stretch out the material as much as possible for a stiffer wrap.•They offer this wrap in four different degrees of tension/support (4 stripe Light, 3 stripe Medium, 2 stripe Heavy, 1 stripe EXTREME). I think this is a great touch to fit to as many individual needs as possible. From the powerlifter trying to bench as much as possible to the bodybuilder looking for some extra support for compound movements, female lifters not wanting such a stiff wrap, cross fitters and everyone else in between.•Price. These wraps are only $11.99 on amazon right now with the 4 stripe wraps being only $7.99 With the quality of these wraps, i could easily see these being sold for more in the $20-30 range.Cons:•I dont know...•Some guys may want a longer wrap for geared powerlifting benching crazy amounts of weight.Overall, they hit a home run with these wraps. Their straps are also incredible as well. Keep an eye out for this company as they are only going to keep putting out better and better products!

Useful kit for the gym bag
I was hesitant to use wrist wraps as I didn't believe they were super necessary. Every time I have had wrist problems I have taped them with athletic tape and that seemed to work fine. However, I am pleasantly surprised to find that they, and particularly this brand are very useful. Especially, for bench press and military press (aka overhead press), they definitely help with stability on heavier sets and these are made well. They are a bit stiff at first but that is to be expected, been using them for a week so far on a 5x5 workout program and they are breaking in well, the velcro is also very strong, I don't see these wearing out anytime soon. I was warned by another gym goer to not put them on too tight as some wraps can almost cut off circulation and I am glad I listened. If you crank these down you will lose feeling in your hands. So, the moral is, snug is good, tight is bad. The reason I went with Contraband was previous experience with their lifting straps, which I really liked. I did deduct one star because I received the wrong color from amazon. I ordered the black with the white stripe as pictured and somehow got a pair with red stripes. It is a minor cosmetic issue and I didn't bother going through the trouble of sending them back as they work the same (duh). The red ones do look nice so if that is what you want, they are neat.
