Verga Replacement for Berimbau Instrument - Capoeira (1pc)

I bought this berimbau because I had sent one over the mail to a place where I was going to teach a workshop and I needed an instrument there to play music for the students, the instrument I had sent originally was made of beriba which is the best material for berimbaus, unfortunately it got stolen and never arrived to it's destination (I still wonder who would still a wooden stick if they don't know how to use it, or what is it for) so this was my second option and it really exceeded my expectations, I had sent my own cabaca and caxixi set, along with baqueta and pedra. As soon as I got it I strained it and started playing it. The sound is very nice, beautiful, it really exceeded my expectations after loosing a very good piece of wood. So this is a good option if you can't get your hands on Brazilian beriba or macaranduba for your berimbau.

This is a very well made verga, gourds sound good on it and it's strung ready to play.

This is not even birba its a Broom stick like WTF dont waste your money i just wasted $100 on two of them. I cold of went down to Home depot and made this my self for under $25. I'm so passed i purchase this item.

I was really happy to buy a replacement berimbau, because I could not bring mine with me when I moved, However, when it arrived the bottom wood was cracked so I could not string it very efficiently. When I tried to string it, it broke.

I've had some cheaply cut vergas in the past, these however are extremely strong. I don't have to be nervous when stringing it up to play. The verga cam extremly well packaged with a light finish on it. So much so that I can varnish it more if I wanted to.

A little small but great for the viola sound on the berimbau.
