This product is hard for a child to use. It really is intended for an adult. It goes they the filament very quickly, and is therefore an expensive hobby.

It’s a great gift idea, but doesn’t heat the filament much so it dries to quickly to really “build” anything. It takes lots of filament. My 13 yr old received this as a gift.

I just gave this to my daughter for Christmas and it doesn't work at all. She plugged it in to charge it and it smelled like it was burning. None of the lights turn on when I press the buttons either. Unfortunately I bought this in November so I don't even have the option to exchange.
