Excellent product and arrived quickly

My first and only time using one of these tools, so I can't compare it to other manufacturers. But it did the job, hasn't broken and now it will sit in the shed for a few years until I need one again. As an inexpensive tool for non-professional casual use, it seems good enough. However, the cap to go over the head and protect it, doesn't fit, at all. I've sellotaped a bit of off-cut carpet around it for storage but if use one more regularly, that's a bit of pain. Knocked a star off for this as it's such a stupid design fault that shouldn't happen.

Floor layer tool It messes your knees up but it works

I was quoted over £1000 to do a hall, stairs, and landing with budget carpeting. I thought stuff that, so I got quality carpet and underlay and did it myself. This tool, combined with a carpet chisel, makes the job easy. Look on YouTube for advice, and you can't go wrong. This tool tightens the carpet around the edges and gets rid of any ridges you may have.I saved myself a few hundred quid, so I am very pleased.

As an ex carpet fitter who needed to refit a bedroom carpet, I can recommend this carpet stretcher. Although the spike depth can't be adjusted this stretcher should be good for all but the very deepest of of carpet piles.
