Power Trim and Tilt Relay 584416 586224 18-570 for Johnson Evinrude Outboard Marine Corp OMC(Pack of 2)

Trim stopped going down, swapped relays to confirm the "down" relay was bad, it was. OEM relays were $30 each (unable to confirm country of origin) but found these on Amazon for $13 a pair with good reviews. Fortunately, they arrived quickly however, wouldn't work with the one OEM relay still installed so pulled it and replaced both with these and now have fully functional up/down trim operation. I purchased a second set as backup, hopefully won't need them for several years. These appear to be well built and identical to the USA made Hella brand relays I had but do take note that these are made in China (what isn't these days?).

Do your self a solid change both not just 1 of them !! I had one that worked on ethier side up goes up change to down and worked on down but the other one clicked changed with a new one and left the one that worked and still clicked with 1 new one .Changed both with new ones and trim worked perfect !!!! Took me about 6 months of trying stuff from new trim motor to new batteries and all it was ,was both relays was messed up ,just one worked and one didnt.

Does what it’s supposed to do and hasn’t failed yet. Good bang for the buck.

Good product. Good numbering on each relay. Took the old ones out and plugged these in and the trim works great, that simple.

I just installed these into a 1997 70 hp 2-stroke Johnson that would not tilt/trim up, only down. I replaced both relays with the two relays included in this order and now the trim/tilt works both directions. The installment process is simple: unplug the old and plug in the new. Couldn't be easier. Now, only time will tell if they last, so so far, so good.

Before putting your boat in the shop and spending lots of money and the usual couple month wait time before boat mechanics even look at your boat start with the easy, simple stuff. I wasn't sure if this was the fix or the switch for a '96 Johnson 150 Ocean Runner. Popped in the new relays (I bought another pair as a back up too) and it worked like a champ. For $15, why not? I never knew this was a wear item that needed to be replaced. I bought the boat new and this was the first time I replaced them. I'll definitely change them more frequently from now on.

Tilt/trim worked okay for raising the motor, but would work intermittently or not at all for down. These relays fit my 1992 Evinrude 90hp perfectly. It was a quick and easy install and the tilt/trim works like new again! (...well, "new again" for a 30 year old motor!) Item shipped quickly!

Had issues with my power tilt/trim on the 1996 Evinrude 150hp. They were exactly the same as the old, plug and play and 1/2 the price of the local marine for twice as many.
