Edmund Gwenn plays Kris Kringle, a bearded old gent who is the living image of Santa Claus. The cast is top-drawer from Hollywood's golden era: Maureen O'Hara (so charmed by the script that she cut short a visit with family in Ireland to make it), John Payne, a very young and very talented Natalie Wood, and the incomparable Teddy Gwynn, who won a supporting actor Oscar as the true Kris Kringle. This budget-price DVD includes a surprising number of interesting special features, including a special segment created for Turner Classic Movies. In all, this is a delighful addition to anyone's holiday viewing.

Black and white movie
I Of course the story was wonderful as always, but The description of this movie was that it was in color. It is not, it is in black and white. I would like to find a colorized version

One of my favorite movies
One of my favorite movies. All the actors portray their character wonderfully. Reminds me of childhood. Love the older classic movies.

Good shape for used DVD
Case is flimsy, disc says disc two so it is obviously part of a double set. Disc also has a smudge on it but plays fine, no skipping or freeze frame.
