UClear Amp Go Helmet Audio System

My girlfriend and I purchased these communicators for our snowmobile helmets. We both ride our own sleds & figured it would be nice to be able to communicate with each other for many reasons. We utilized these together many times throughout the winter & were very pleased them. We ride pretty tight and often just her and I. Setup & installation was pretty easy. The only issues we had were when we added sleds to our group. I enjoyed leading on our one trip & my girlfriend played "Mother Hen" and took up the rear of the group. 4 sleds with a decent spacing worked real well, but when we added a 5th sled to the group there were many times that we found ourselves unable to communicate. The range is pretty decent for the cost & I would definitely recommend! The ability to communicate on snowmobiles both day & night riding is extremely nice to warn of trail hazards or sled issues that arise. As far as the battery life, I was pleasantly surprised! When we would arrive at establishments for food or beverages, we would not bother turning them off, so they were constantly communicating with all of the noise. We would charge them every night & they literally would be on from the time we started riding in the AM till we parked the sleds at night. I would definitely recommend these to someone who doesn't wanna spend $250-450 per unit for alternatives. One unit I believe can be tethered to 4, so if you have a larger group, spread one or two out in the middle to extend range. Great purchase I would not hesitate to buy again.

After using this for a year, I feel I can put my thoughts into words with confidence. This is a great unit of you don't intend on conversing during a ride. The boomless mic feature is amazing and convenient but it does have its limits. After about 55mph, whomever you're talking to will probably struggle for clarity. Audio quality is top notch no matter the speed, and volume is pretty solid too. I rode with hearing protection and I can hear music and even lectures with 100% clarity. The battery life is about average I would say, I can go a week on one charge. My only gripes are the sometimes the button controls are a little vague, the talking clarity is not the best and the mounting system is garbage. Should you buy this, get the heavy duty 3M mounting tape (the grey one). Overall, I recommend this headset to anyone who wants to break away from Sena and Cardo. My next purchase will be the higher tier Uclear if that says anything.

During the first ride these were not the best. My ear hurt because the mic part of them didn't allow them to sit in the helmet as anticipated and the sound quality was sub part. I adjusted them a bunch to get them to really fit the right way in the helmet and my ear stopped hurting. Then I couldn't hear any music when riding 60+mph. Finally, I found that using ear plugs with the helmet was the action spot!! Just got home after several rides and I'm hearing music great even at 60+mph. I have not tried the phone feature since I discovered wearing earplugs, so no help there.

I had the HBC-200 for years, I wanted to upgrade a bit. Unit works very nicely with the bass boost off although it doesn't play music when I sync it to my bike (Ducati Multistrada). The older HBC-200 syncs and works perfectly, Amp Go doesn't for some reason. Contacted UCLEAR, didn't get any explanation why it doesn't work with my bike.If you just sync the unit to your phone, it works 100%, but I can't use buttons on my bike like that.

I was recommended this product from a Motorsports shop. I debated on this product and the Sensa but after looking at functionality of what I was using for mainly music and directions I went with this. Product has been great sound has been good have linked to phone. Waze works, Pandora, Siriusxm app. Great product my only concern was that it doesn't recognize commands such as ok Google or Siri tried with both an apple phone and Android based no luck.

Functions as expected. At first I was very disappointed in audio quality. Had owned an earlier version which seemed far superior but after 6 years died. The good news is I identified the cause of the audio problem on the new amp go unit. You will need to download the clearlink app and find the settings screen which allows you to turn off the base boost feature. I found the audio quality for both music and intercom is vastly improved once the base boost is turned off.

Worked well on our trip but had issues with trees, terrain, and distance causing drop in connection. Having to connect them everytime is a pain but works well and is easy once you learn the system. But they do work and with the boomless mic it picks up much more engine noise.

Bluetooth music sounds pretty decent. Not great but even at lower volumes I can hear the music over the engine on my Harley. Phone calls and using your voice however is not great. It’s very grainy and hard to understand but it’s great for if you want to jam out on your rides.
