Amazing!!!!
Amazing item! Upon moving to my new apartment, my cats started scratching my bed and occassionally my rugs. That's when I found this product that I didn't knew I needed. My cats not only completely stopped scratching anything they shouldn't be and now faithfully go straight to this amazing scratching post to scratch. Its super sturdy, I haven't noticed any wobbling while they scratch it because it is tall and well built. I have 2 adult indoor cats and they both use this scratcher. I've had it for maybe a month or alittle less and there isnt any sign of wear. Love this scratcher and am so glad I found it!

Worth it.
A two week slow boat from Cambodia but excellent product. Sturdy. Big. My cat hangs from it like a tree a grabs a mouse from the platform with ease. Her look of gratitude is enough. The rope wrapped posts are nice until the rope breaks. Then it unravels over time. These are a solid material that hold up under razor claws. I need a 15' one to reach to the ceiling. She'll climb it like a tree and hang like a squirrel.

Henry totally approves this
I have a Maine Coon that just loves to show off his handsome looks by modeling on top for this pic. This is my second scratching post like this and I love how the last one lasted two years and Henry and my other cats are still shredding the post daily, or at least until my new one comes in this Thursday. Amazon makes a really good solid post that does not tip over. The carpeted base gives them the traction they need for vigorous 'workouts'. This is not one of those post with the siscal going around and around, causing nails to come off before they were meant to and me finding their little bloody paw prints. So that one went into the trash immediately, and I went back to what I know works best for my cats. Most of my cats are large, except for one, and this post takes a daily beating. The only thing that would make this post better is if it had 4 more feet of height, since Henry loves to climb on it and just hang there, real chill. I highly recommend this particular post because it has the fiber mat that wraps around it, not causing damage to their paws. No rope going around on this post. This post is Henry approved. Can't get a more solid reaction then that. Henry is quite stubborn about what he likes and does not like. Actually Henry is just stubborn, but so is this post. It just keeps on keeping on. Edit; I got the scratching post and my cats just love it. The only thing that can make this post better is getting a seat for Henry to sit in, since he loves climbing on top. This post is just as awesome as the first one was. I am very pleased with howuch my cats love it and the fact it never tips over which is saying a lot when the cats are rambunctious and there are three on it trying to get to the top first. I still say if this post were 4 feet taller, my cats could climb a bit before reaching the top platform. I really have to get a seat for it. Maybe then two could be on top at the same time. Give this post a try if you have large cats, you won't be sorry and your cats will indeed love it. Amazon makes a great product!

Bean Approved; The Tower of Stritches
TL;DR: big stretches, fun to climb, cat approved and highly recommended. I have two 4-year-old cats with opposite personalities. They have never had an official scratching post (besides the 4 on the legs of their tower and our couches if that counts) so I decided to do some research. Square scratching posts are best for cats to get a full stretch in with their scratches. The first few I saw were $50+ so I am glad I found this one. It is extremely sturdy, tall, well-made. It comes with a little fuzzy ball attachment and an extra in case that one is destroyed. It is easy and quick to assemble. The brown parts are very soft. My cats took a bit to actually use it since it was their first experience with one, but once they did, they fell in love. Bean (pictured) loves bug stretches and getting a good scratch in. She is also very proud of herself for jumping up top. Overall, highly recommended for quality, price, and enjoyment.

Good
Just as pictured. So. I had bought the Amazon one looooong time ago. It has wood not fluffy on the bottom and top and honestly I think it was heavier. The difference I notice is that it does wobble a fair amount. And I don’t mean wobble just on its own. My cats like to jump from it up onto something else. They will climb it and jump off. During this jump off I notice the stand will wobble the opposite way a great deal enough I was a bit like hmm I need to secure this more. It’s located near where I workout so I have 2 sets of big 8lbs red weights and I just put it on the side towards the jump direction and it doesn’t wobble at all. It’s perfect to jump from. I think there was a string and nail to maybe keep it onto a wall? I’m not sure. The instructions were terrible.. but it’s fairly straightforward. The top screw you need to make sure the top has the “smaller side” upwards. So the longest part will screw into the top of the stand. I like the addition of the fluff vs the old. The weight obviously was better and a bit sturdier due to that. Again adding my weights to one side fixed it. It is much cheaper I think the other is about $50 and this is like $36 so that is nice. There’s an odd lip of the sisal on one side. The old wood one I have is fully box shaped, no lip. No real drawback I notice just odd. This seems nice so far. The other one I had I’ve probably had for like 5-6years now.

Simple and sturdy
The Amazon Basics Cat Scratching Post is a simple, sturdy option that works great for both cats and kittens. At 35.4 inches tall, it’s high enough for cats to fully stretch while scratching, which helps satisfy their natural instincts and keeps them from going after furniture. The sisal rope material is durable and gives them the rough texture they love, and the neutral brown design blends easily into most home spaces. It was quick to assemble and feels stable for everyday use without taking up much room. My cat took to it right away and uses it daily, which has definitely reduced unwanted scratching elsewhere. Overall, it’s a great value if you’re looking for a basic, reliable scratching post that gets the job done without any extra fuss.

Sturdy and reliable. May outlive us all.
I've had this guy for 10 months now; at the time, i had wanted something simple in style but tall enough my single cat could stretch out on, as we also recently purchased a rather nice and expensive couch. I had blanched a little at the price, as I was expecting something poorly made and ready to toss after 3-6 months, but honestly this was a decent price point for quite a bit more height than the average post you can find. I am incredibly suprised at the quality of this thing. After 10 months of use, it looks minimally used, despite my cat vastly prefering it over the couch itself. It's sturdy despite being easy to put together, and sheds hair and debris minimally. I rarely need to clean it. My cat can stretch her full length on it fairly well, though she is on the shorter side. She likes climbing it to perch on top of it, and I have taught her to scratch on it "with me" AKA, she goes to town and i drag my nails across it with her. I feel as though my only complaint is it's kind of an eyesore -- imagine a 5 story hotel in the in the middle of a suburb. Kind of out of place in comparison and rather clunky. It's as tall as my waist and about as thick as a football is round. Height and thickness matter for durability, I know, but it doesn't change the facts. Regardless it's probably the best scratching post out there. Give this guy a chance. I am not very good at taking videos and playing with my daughter at the same time so the video provided is coincidentally perfect for showing off the scratching post itself.

Good purchase
I like this post for a few reasons: First of all, this post costs 1/2 as much as ones sold at major retail pet stores (MRPS), so you can get two! Second, they put the seam in the corner. The MRPS ones have the seam in the middle of the rear face making it shred and come apart quickly. Thirdly, this one is a full height unit without horizontal seams. Unlike other retailers here which have a horizontal plastic or metal seam halfway up the post preventing your cat from scratching the middle area. Browse a while and you will see what I mean. Bonus! There is a replacement toy ball provided. It looks like it has a snap-fit connection to make replacement easy. It is sturdy, and the bolts provided are the same ones holding the shocks onto the front of your car. You may want to use a cordless driver to help with assembly to save your fingers from using the provided tool. I had a couple (remember 2 for 1 pricing I mentioned above) to put together and a power tool lets you get them assembled quickly. It’s pretty obvious how they go together so it’s pretty safe to skip the instructions. The Cat approves of his new posts. I’m going to get two more (posts, not cats) Enjoy!!

Great cat scratcher for any size!
Best cat scratcher I've ever had. My cat is not a fan of cat trees or usual toys, but she goes crazy on this thing and it holds up! Very sturdy (especially for the price) plus it's pretty cute ;) Definitely recommend

My ragdolls love this scratching tower!
I have two ragdoll cats who absolutely love this scratching post! They fought over it at first but now they take their turns on it, and both love sitting on top! It is absolutely massive, so lots of surface area for scratching!! It’s got a sturdy base too so when they are playing and running and jumping on top, it very rarely tips over. Great value for money and now the focal point of our living room!!
