Dorman 974-007 Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor Compatible with Select Cadillac / Chevrolet / GMC Models

By far my worst experience purchasing a product on Amazon. I ordered 4 new sensors to replace the old factory sensors on my 2005 Yukon XL. When I received the Dorman sensors, they were old stock (manufactured in 2014). These have a non-replaceable battery that spent 5 years wearing out on a shelf before I even got them. I took a gamble and had the tire shop install them as I already had an appointment scheduled to have new tires put on. Two of the four sensors were completely non-functional. After calling Amazon, I was told to call Dorman. Dorman told me to call Amazon. After getting jerked around, I was finally able to get them to send 4 replacements. I had to then schedule and pay for another appointment with the mechanic to take my tires off and put in the second set of sensors. ONLY 3 OF THEM WORKED!! Not only am I out the fees to have the shop put the second set of sensors in, but I have had to deal with leaving my work vehicle in the shop for additional days. After all of this, I still only have 3 working sensors! Do yourself a favor and buy these local directly from the shop. They will take care of you much more than Amazon will. You will save yourself a lot of headaches and money.

Bought a set of 4 to install on 2006 Chevy Suburban LTZ (classic body style) and they work perfectly. I work at a tire shop so installation had already been planned to be done by myself. Only slight issue was that the tpms reset tool did not recognize sensors, but, I learned if you activate the re-learn procedure on the vehicle there was no need for tpms tool to begin with!!! Slowly let air out of LF tire for about 10 seconds and horn will chirp, then proceed to RF, then RR, then LR using same procedure. After that all sensors still read zero psi until i drive over 10 mph. Within 2 minutes of driving all sensors read correct pressures and all the sweat and energy was worth it. Hope this helps anyone in their pesky tpms adventures✌😎

Would not connect to vehicle and I had a TPMS computer.

I have used a lot of Dorman products over the years on my 2006 Tahoe. These sensors by far gave me the most satisfaction - not from a $$ savings standpoint but from a satisfaction standpoint as the local tire shop told me I wouldn't be able to get them to work on my car. He was flat wrong. These sensors are designed to work with your specific vehicle. I didn't need an expensive tool to get them calibrated to my vehicle - all I had to do was follow the relearn procedure in my owners manual. Simple, easy and now working great. Thanks Dorman!

I took the sensor over to the Sams Club automotive section (where I got teh tires from) and asked them to replace the one that was not transmitting. They charged only $5 to do replace the sensor. They do not stock replacement sensors so you have to bring your own but they will replace them when asked. They said if they were replacing the tires, they would not have even charged the $5 but I still have many thousands of miles left in the tires so no need to replace them.The sensor worked great, Now I don't get the "SERVICE TIRE MONITOR SYSTEM" message when I crank the car and can read all four tire pressures from the console. The reading on the console matches my old manual hand gauge so it is accurate at least at that one point.

Out of the four that I bought one of them doesn't work. The day after had them installed in my brand new tires I had a flat tire. Not what I expected to happen one day after they were installed. I am still having issues with that one.

Bought these and had discount tire guys throw them in as I new I had to sensors that wouldn't register on the dash and wouldn't 'register' when I lowered the pressure on the tires.Tire guys had no issue using their scanner tool to 'add' them. They showed as unregistered pressure until we drove around for a little while (immediately after getting them at the tire shop - after driving down the road for a few miles all was well.)

Ticked off. Vehicle info id’d 974-007 as the needed unit. I have the tire off the rim ready to install and I look to double check program/install I do and find “this does not fit your vehicle!!!!!!” Reordered what is hopefully the right one but now have to leave the vehicle on jack stands until new one arrives.
