Dorman 974-043 Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor Compatible with Select Models

My Experience:2012 Ram 2500 ST 4x4 5.7L HemiThis product worked exactly as advertised.For Dodge (and possibly other brands), once I received this new Dorman Type Pressure Monitoring Sensor, I asked a tire shop to break the tire bead and install the new sensor. That's it. No programming, nothing else, nothing more.Then, I drove around on the highway for about 5 or 10 minutes. I was cruising at around 55-60 mph. During that 5 - 10 minutes the new sensor suddenly started to read properly my dashboard readout. It's been working perfectly ever since.The front right tire was reading " - - " and when I scanned for codes (Blue Driver Bluetooth scan tool) one of the codes was an "internal failure" of the sensor on that tire. There were 3 other codes related to that, but the internal failure code basically meant the sensor broke or battery died. That's why I bought the new Dorman one.Now with this new sensor, the dash reads properly as " 45 " and the codes are gone. It's literally plug and play for my Ram truck. (45 psi being my choice of tire pressure for light load driving)The new sensor did look different from the old one. I don't know if the old one was original or not.If you own a similar truck like mine, buy with confidence. It works perfectly.

I gave these a try as an alternative to the Mercedes OEM TPMS because they are much cheaper. After reading some of the reviews I was a bit concerned because some people complained they couldn’t get them to work or they wouldn’t link with their car. I had these installed and they linked to my car right away with no programming needed. I have had them on the car now for a few weeks and they have performed well, even accurately informing me of a tire that was losing pressure. So at this point I’ll give these 2 👍🏻👍🏻 I can’t speak to their longevity but if for some reason I run into an issue I’ll update this review.

Am pretty sure this product would have worked fine as I had used Dorman product in the past. This time I ended up not needing it. The box came open upon arrival and I did not wanted to take any chances.

Ordered a set for a 2015 Dodge Charger and they worked with no problems. Synced right up to the car just like the oem ones at less than half the price.On a side note the guy who installed them instantly was displeased we had bought dorman brand ones and said they were the worst brand he had seen as they never sync up to the vehicles. I had to explain to him they have different models for different vehicles and he was surprised to hear that. He said everyone who had brought him Dorman sensors said it was a universal sensor. I told him they are not universal. Brings it back to order the correct model for your vehicle and check to make sure you ordered the correct one if they don't work. Dorman even has a correct part finder right on their own website that I cross referenced to make sure I did have the correct model

Doorman is always the only version aftermarket you should buy.Ok, quick install at the shop and recognized by my car within a few minutes.Had Doormans for years in my cars and have yet to change not even one out yet.Quality is really good and valve-stem is made well and has good threads for the valve caps.

First things first - don't buy a product which won't work with your car. I checked three separate auto parts websites to verify that this was the correct part for my 2010 Ram 2500. I paid the tire shop to put it in ($30) and within the day the device was sync'd to my truck and reading perfectly. TPMS sensors are NOT universal; so make sure you're ordering the right product for your application. This one works great for my truck; and I saved hundreds of dollars vs going to the dealership.

I had the dealer install it on my 2015 Chrysler town and country and it fits perfectly the tpms light was still on but after about a 10 minute drive the light went out the sensor has a self relearn so it automatically relearn it's self no special programming as long as your auto has the self relearn program these will be perfect for your auto

my 2011 Journey has rubber stems and this one is as the picture states (a metal stem). it might have worked but the shop that installed my tires said Dodge is a little touchy so I took their advice and used the one they were able to get. 5 stars because I have never gotten a bad part made by Dorman and I'm sure this would not have disappointed. If this is the correct fit for your vehicle buy it with confidence!!!

This is a quality authentic Dorman product.. Installation into my vehicle (2013 Jeep Wrangler unlimited) required no extra programming to work.

Junk!! Didn't sync to my 2018 Durango.

Excelente producto, y muy buena marca (ya empleado está marca en otro tipo de refacciones y por la misma referencia que ya tengo de ella es que la sigo recurriendo), es la misma calidad al original pero poco más barato. Lo instalé reemplazando a uno que ya tenía dañado, pensé haría falta programarlo ya que es un sensor TPMS, no hizo falta al poco tiempo de estar manejando (10-15min aproximadamente), éste fue reconocido por la computadora del auto sin problemas (Charger '12)...
