It's been 2 years I'm using it this product on my 2001 BMW 525i E39 and it's excellent working.Anyone is looking for reasonable price with excellent response this is the one by it s complete with sensor and wire harness so if you have a different type of picky tale or wiring grip you can use this as a set and it doesn't matter which is ground and which is power because it's based on the ground loop resistance, both sites coming and going to the PCM and it will take only resistance value so it will work.I hope it will help you and fix your car. Before this thing went in it showed -40F and A/C wouldn't work and heat was way too hot and gas milage and power was not good. This simple fix addressed all the issues.

Without the temperature sensor working your a/c won’t work. You’ll get a temp read out of either -40 degrees or +122 degrees. It can be replaced at home. This reads the exact temperature as the factory part. It also comes with the socket and some wire which can really help you out if your sensor is missing completely or your original one has the wires cut with half an inch left. (Which is common if you go over a parking stop and then back up - the lower molding can catch and thus break the wires.) The vehicle has 2 leads that go to the temp sensor - the blue/red lead goes to the red lead on the replacement.

Oh why BMW gods... Why place the AAT sensor right where every parking block likes to kiss the E46? Parking blocks why do you have such an appetite for the BMW AAT sensor? Well the answers to these questions we may never know.One thing we do know, this is the replacement part.One thing we learn (after replacing the AAtSensor twice) is Relocate the Ambient Air Temperature sensor.This item has nice long leads to relocate this AAT Sensor to a safer resting place, which should negate the need for additional AAT Sensor replacement in the future. Possible locations, lower front radiator area secured with zipties. Mine is now in engine compartment, reads warm but is safe. Again this sensor is only outside air temp and has nothing to do with performance, if the engine relied on this sensor for adjustment we would not relocate the sensor to the engine bay.

Easy to install. Show temperature good.2 wire with out sensor : show -40CWhen connect wire together with out sensor :show + 80C

Worked perfect on my F30 335i did the job and followed the instructions on matching wires in the other review descriptions telling the correct temperature now
