Worked very well in my portable solar power system
So I bought this as an indicator for a 24 volt solar power system built into a tote. I found that it worked very well although as others have mentioned, it needs some sort of enclosure so I designed and 3D printed a suitable housing for the shunt. This worked great for me. One thing to keep in mind is that the quality of the wire connections to the shunt and the battery are really critical as far as accuracy. The shunt itself is only a few milliohms of resistance and the voltage drop across that is very small, so the slightest bit of extra resistance introduced by a substandard connection on one of the wires will completely throw the readings off. Use really good quality crimp ons and then solder the wires after they're crimped. If you do that and follow the installation instructions to the letter, there shouldn't be any issues with accuracy. I don't know about longevity at this point but for the price this is a really good meter.

Easy to install works as designed.
Added a 12v RV AC unit and wanted to monitor the amp draw. What a simple and great monitor. Easy to wire and use for battery draw tracking.

Best cheap shunt on the market.
I've got a few of these in my go boxes and RV. I love that they are simple, basic and just work. I also love that they have a watt hour use meter that can be reset to count again. A feature all shunts should have, but most don't. It's fairly accurate when measured against my Fluke 289 but off a few 10s of mV. It has higher resolution at 10mV and 10mA than most shunts. I wish it had "bi directional" readings so could read charge and discharge and I wish the shunt itself had holes in it to better mount. Lastly the 50A version is no longer available, but great for smaller installs. But even with the small draw backs this is a great shunt for the money. If you are wanting bi directional or SOC (which is never really accurate anyway) this may not be the shunt for you.

A nice meter
This meter does a good job for my purpose. I bought it to monitor the charging voltage and current for my ebike. You must hookup the wires per the instructions or you will not get a correct reading. I experimented with the hook up to see what would happen and it makes a difference. This meter does not actually monitor the current directly. It measures the voltage drop across the shunt and it is important that the shunt is the last part of the circuit per the instructions. I 3D printed a case to contain all of the wiring and it turned out to be a good tool for my needs.

Good price and accurate.
I bought this to measure the power generated by my solar power system for my workshop. It works very well and appears to be very accurate, not only with voltage, but also with power generated, Amp, and watts. I used a clamp on ammeter to verify the current reading and also the voltage. I found the discrepancy between the readings to be minor. I’m happy and I think this is a good product. I’ve had it operating for around 6 months or more now.

Great monitor for solar usage.
I initially wired it to give me the shorted circuit amps from a 100 watt solar panel. To read this I used a 9v battery to power the meter. Worked fine and cost way less than a DC Ampmeter. Then I rewired the assembly to then read the solar voltage, current and power charging my boat battery while it's in a slip. If the bilge pump becomes active due to water intrusion, I will see a high reading for Watt Hours accumulate when a check it a week later. The Whrs can be reset to zero.

Works well for me
I bought two for use on a solar panel system on an off-grid storage building to monitor both solar panel operation and battery power use. They arrived in good shape and were easy to add to my wiring panel with a couple of modified plastic 1 gang outlet boxes. I bought the 100A version but, in hind-sight, the 50A version probably would have been a better fit. What I received worked just fine, but the 100A shunt is relatively massive and I had to find some suitably large crimp on ring terminals (I ended up using 5/16") to accommodate the bolts on either end. They are probably over-kill for a simple application like mine, but they were inexpensive and will satisfy my desire to know how things are working. EDIT: Two days later, one meter is displaying incorrect values (roughly 50% higher than true). I am waiting on correspondence with the seller on how to proceed. EDIT: Follow up. The vendor provided information on how to recalibrate the device, but it required a 20v power source which I do not have. I am returning the bad unit & ordering another for replacement. EDIT: Resolution. The vendor was very helpful and has covered the replacement of the meter. I am happy with the service provided.

Excellent monitor for $20!
Installed this on our travel trailer to monitor battery usage while boondocking. As suggested by another user, I used a cat5 cable to connect the current shunt to the meter. Comparing this to a Fluke DMM, voltage is a little lower on this unit, but I suspect this is a problem with my DMM, not the unit. Of course, the operation is as advertised, but most notably (at least for me) is the effect this device had on the other campers staying with me. For the first time we are able to see how much power is being used and it has caused everyone to be more conscious about conservation. Everyone is now interested in driving the power usage down whenever they wander by the meter. 3 days of boondocking, and we only used ~ 400WH out of ~1200 WH capacity (voltage was at about 12.55V) The only question I had (have) is what is the best wiring arrangement. The current sensing is easy, but with two batteries in parallel, what is the best way to wire the voltage monitoring leads? I would like to capture the power consumption of the meter, so I tied the negative lead of the voltage sensing to the positive lead of the current shunt. I think this means I will read up to 75mV lower than actual, but I figure this is better than not capturing the 10-20mA of current the meter requires. Overall, I am very happy. If only this meter could read charge power as well, it would be perfect.
