The Right Battery for a Tricky Application

Bought to replace a battery in a 1960's Accutron
My Dad has an Accutron watch that my Mom bought for him back in the 1960's. He hasn't been able to find a battery that would replace the one he put in back in the early 2000's. After some research, I found this battery and it came with the spacer ring needed to retro fit into his Accutron. A little slow on shipping, but I expected it with all that is going on right now. Works perfectly and very reasonably priced.

Ideal for some old cameras
This battery has one possible use as replacement for discontinued mercury batteries, many of which were used in old SLR cameras. My particular camera originally needed RM400R or E400 mercury battery. Energizer 387S perfectly replaces it, identical in size, similar in power over time profile and though slightly different in voltage (1.55 vs. 1.3 of mercury cells) it does not change camera light meter response (tested extensively and calibrated) in my old Fujica 701S. Performance deserves Energizer "bunny ad" ... To reflect first reviewer note, I live in one of the largest metropolitan areas in the USA and I still couldn't find this particular battery in stores anywhere within 100 miles. For some reason even specialized stores (batteries, watches, cameras,...) do not carry it. Glad to find them on Amazon!

I bought this battery (387S) online because I couldn't find it anywhere in B&M stores. It fits my Pentax Spotmatic SP500 film camera perfectly (no O-ring required). It powers the metering on this camera and the metering appears to work flawlessly. There is no expiration date on the package so there is no way to know if this is old stock. But as of now, it works and I'm happy to be able to go out shooting with the confidence that I'll have the correct exposure dialed in on every shot.

For Bulova Accutron 214 watch
New life for vintage timepieces. Comes with a great spacer. If you have the spacer, save a buck and order 394/380 instead. It’s the same battery size, minus the spacer!
