I am looking for a motion-sensor light that is bright enough to put by my bed to read by. Is this light bright enough to read by?

how many hours will the batteries last if using the light in the constant on mode?

I use it mostly in the "automatic" mode, but when I did use it in the constant on mode the batteries lasted about a week, burning the lamp approximately 5 hours per night. However, I was using regular AA batteries from the dollar store, not the long lasting type.

I'd like to put this bedside to turn on when I sit up or get up. Does it turn on when you flip?

It will turn on with any movement in line of the sensor so I imagine if u had it up high from ur body flipping over u would be fine.

I doubt it, but it's a great light. I've had mine for 3 years. It doesn't drain batteries that fast.
