Hi! option #1: I don't know, I haven't tried it. Try and find out. Option #2 but - I am willing to make up an opinion. This is the internet, after all. I think you are asking about the cable that lets me stream with good quality audio to my phone via the headphone jack?? If this is the cable we are talking about: I think it should work because it is the 3 rings on the cable that flip the head phone jack function to an input instead of an out put... In other words, because/if you can make iphone ear buds (they have a little mic in the cable) work in an android phone, this cable should be able to work too.
