One of the things I tested was coffee granules. It caught all of them!!
The media could not be loaded. This sink strainer was worth the money spent! It caught just about everything through the strainer and was very easy to clean! One of the things I tested was coffee granules. It caught all of them!! It works well and the matte black stainless steel doesn’t leave marks or weird residue. The stopper portion completely stops the drain, allowing no water to go through!! Because it’s a stainless steel strainer, it’s very sturdy making it that much more durable over the life of my drain!

Stops clogs perfectly
It catches all the food bits and keeps my drain clear, preventing any clogs. THe stopper also works perfectly when I need to fill the sink. It's well-made and a practical upgrade for any kitchen.

great strainer
wish I knew about this sooner. Works much better and easier to clean than mesh. Water still drains even with debris from cleaning pans, etc which normally would have plugged the old mesh one I had.

Bette than everything else I’ve tried
So I’ve had these for several months and here’s the pros and cons.Pros - they work! They haven’t rusted and fit my drains well. They have a good seal and trap almost everything in my sink. Love the holes at the top to allow water to drain even when the trap is full of food. Well built and sturdy. I even put them in the dishwasher with no issues.Cons - they are hard to empty and you have to bang them on the trashcan to get the food out. The holes up top can get clogged easily if there is larger food debris blocking them. They don’t work so well for things like couscous or quinoa as the grains are sometimes smaller than the drain holes, so make sure to empty foods like that over the garbage disposal side.

Worked well while it lasted
I replaced the original strainer for this one as my sink was always blocked. It worked well and the holes in the middle allow water to drain out even if the strainer itself is full of food debris.The issue is that since you have to pull it out by the middle, which is rubber, after a while it starts to get torn until it eventually breaks. What they should have done is to include a flip-up metal "handle" that you use to remove it rather than having to rely in holding the middle.
