Some minor issues but awesome overall.
So I've been using this jacket daily for the past two months and I'm pretty impressed with it so far. There are some minor issues but I'm really happy with this purchase. I'm 6'0", 250lbs (proportional, no huge gut, larger chest and shoulders) and I purchased the xxl. Upper chest is a little snug, but not overly tight, and the sleeves are a little long, but button at the cuff and fit easily inside a pair of over-the-cuff welding gloves. The neck is a bit stiff as well initially, and takes a bit of breaking in for it to get really comfortable. I wrapped a cotton bandana around my neck before putting the jacket on for the first several weeks and that helped tremendously with the comfort, but the collar protects well and I haven't had a single spark drop down my collar yet, like I have with other jackets. I was initially put off by the velcro/button combo on the front as well, but this makes it extremely convenient to simply rip off the jacket in the rare case you need to get it off quick. Inverted pockets are a nice feature to protect against pocketing sparks, and I usually keep an additional soap stone and a notebook and pencil there. Internal lining is comfortable. Overall, I would purchase this again and have recommend this jacket to a few coworkers.

Looks great, but performance is not as good
The jacket looked great, the leather sleeves were great. But after two days of mig welding at Lincoln Electric weld school I had an inch long, half inch wide burn hole just below where the leather stopped on the front of the jacket. By the 7th day I needed to replace the jacket to protect my shirt before welding again

Neck is too restrictive
Good looking jacket and heavy duty, but the cuffs are too big and awkward to button up.Turtle neck is good to have but this one is so high and stiff you can’t move your head around. Also it cuts into my neck so I actually have to leave the top 2 buttons open. The silky sleeve linings are very comfortable. I expected bare leather. The Velcro/button combo makes it slightly more difficult to get on and off, but no big deal, I like it. In the summer this jacket will be too hot, but it’s great for a cool or cold work environment.

Quality Welding Coat
I'm taking evening welding classes so I can repair stuff around the farm when I retire from my day job (Electrical Engineer). I didn't use the jacket for the oxyfuel cutting, welding and brazing, but am using it every day now that I'm learning SMAW (stick). I haven't done overhead yet (may or may not take the Advanced SMAW), but it works great in the other positions. The cloth body makes it more comfortable than all leather, and I've not had any issues with sparks or heat. Not normally a fan of velcro on anything, but it works well on the jacket.I'm 6'2", 260 pounds and normally wear a 2XL Tall. I tried 2XL based on the chart and it was too short in the sleeves and slightly tight in the chest (I wear a 19" x 37" long sleeve dress shirt...yes, gorilla arms, and 52L suit coat). The 3XL gives me room to move and enough length without being too baggy in the stomach.

Welding School
So it's in my opinion very nice looking, and worked really well upon getting it. It's only been a week of use put into it or about 40-50 hours using it. As the picture shows it already has a rip in it. I've had hot metal rest on the sleeve while vertical welding for at most 10 seconds and no holes. You'll start to feel the heat but again you only feel it. Unsure how it got the gash in the chest. To be honest unsure if it's worth it due to the fact it's only been 1 week of use and already has an opening where hot metal could enter. If customer service or what not is helpful then I'll bump the review up to a 4 but as it currently stands I feel a 3 is a realistic figure.

Factual Review
Arms and chest are leather (the rest is a canvas-like material). Velcros and buttons up the front (I would prefer just buttons because the velcro WILL wear out and be pointless anyways). Ventilation is great. Arms are a bit too big (weld splatter and drips are liable to get caught in the wrinkles and burn a bit if you're a pansy)

Order (at least) 2 sizes up
Got a size up (3x) for more room (normally a 2x), was still too small to even put on. Returned and ordered a 4x, still barely fits and was clearly fitted for a noodle armed IT guy, not a man who works steel all day.
