Best Combination of Performance, Features and Price
This bulb was the only 7443R plug flashing red bulb with a metal heat sink. I would have preferred that it be built with just the PCB like in T10 plug bulbs so that there is no chance of any melting of the plastic due to heat in the circuit board. On top of that it was also the cheapest flashing bulb with many reviews. The marketing on this bulb also sold me by making me believe that it's LED type is better than the others that it mentioned.Installation notes:This was installed in a 2010 Mazda 3 S Sport Sedan with Halogen bulbs. This is a 7443R bulb (R=red) and as such is very long. On my car there were no errors. I replaced my bulb just as easily as any other friction fit bulb. I orignally bought this bulb for the 3rd brake light but it was way too long. I then pivoted to use these as my brake tail lights since they housing was large enough to accommodate these bulbs.Performance:The two bulbs flashed in unison. I didn't really count it but it did blink quickly and didn't last that long. The bulb that installed for my 3rd brake light was slower in it's flashing and from a different manufacture. To bad that Syneticusa didn't have this in a 2" long 7440 version.Final thoughts:They performed exactly as advertised and to my satisfaction. The flashing was bright enough my son was able to notice from the driver's seat. The LEDs are very brilliant without being distracting. One note is that non brake lighting "dim" (when headlights are turned on) versus brake lighting "bright" is not all that more bright. Incandescent bulbs have a dim brightness using 5w and then get brighter when the car sends 21w of power during breaking. These bulbs barely register a difference in my car but because of the flashing and 3rd brake light I do not believe it matters. Your mileage may vary.UPDATE (4/12/22): My left bulb started to fail. Many LEDS are dead. I contacted the seller and they are sending me another set free of charge. Since they are standing by the bulbs 14 months later I am not changing my rating.

Bright - Attention Grabbing
I installed four of these in a 2008 Honda Goldwing (even though Amazon said it did not fit my vehicle) plus two in a 2007 Honda Civic and they work flawlessly. They are very bright and with the flashing it grabs attention, hopefully keeping people from running into your rear end. It is nice because you don't need any extra equipment, modulators or voltage adapters or anything. They just plug and play.

Product last and works as it should
I bought these headlights a while back and I have zero complaints about them. They work as advertised and are easy installation they aren’t big and blocky like some can be. The flashing is just enough to get the driver behind you attention, the flashing is only when you press the brake for about 5-10 seconds then it changes to solid like a normal brake. I will most definitely be buying these in the future when time comes to replace them.

Noticeable. Work as described. Tall and fragile.
These work pretty much as advertised and the flashing is definitely noticeable.A few detractors:1. They're kind of tall, so I was not able to install them in the third stop light as I had intended. I ended up installing them in the corner brake light positions instead.2. They're pretty bright when they're on, but there's not much of a difference between the stop and marker levels. It's noticeable when they turn on because they flash, but when you release the pedal, there's not much of a shift, which I guess isn't quite as important.3. They're pretty fragile. The LED stack is surface mount soldered onto the base. I accidentally bumped it a little too hard (but not that hard) while I was installing it and it broke the LED stack off of the base. I tried to resolder it, but it tore the *tiny* pad off of the circuit board so there was nothing left to solder it to. It wouldn't take much to make the solder pads a little larger which would provide a more robust connection. ( I may put a bead of epoxy around the base of the LED stack to provide additional support without impacting the thermals too much. I suspect that some of the failures are because the LEDs may be breaking their connection because of the jostling that they have to endure once they're installed in the car.)

lasts for 4 years! easy to see especially in the dark
Bought this in 2020 and my left light went out. 4 years is a great time for that light to last. BTW im in Los Angeles and that traffic is a whole different story! lol. its now 2024 and im buying another pair. I will continue to use these lights for all my cars to come.

Died after a few months
I ordered these twice for my 2003 Highlander. After a few months one of the lights stopped working. I thought it might have just been bad luck so I ordered a second set. I replaced both lights. Next the light on the other side went out.I'm going to buy tail light bulbs somewhere else. I can't keep replacing these.

Not as bright as normal LEDs but strobing effect makes up for it.
Right away you can tell that these are maybe a couple percentage brighter than stock or if you have good halogens, they may not be brighter at all. However, we all bought this for the driving effect and that kind of let me down a little as well. It works, but the strobing effect is a little too fast. It blinks around 6 times but so fast that it kind of looks like your lights are malfunctioning instead of a dedicated strobe effect. I will update with pictures and video.
