It were like 2 years ago. Before President Trump import the 25% tariff on Chinese imports. And when the cost to bring in the Ocean Fright container was at $2800. Not, the cost to bring in a Ocean Freight 40 ft container is $17500. Google "Ocean Freight Container Shortage" and you will see. That total adds about $30 to the the cost. And UPS has increase the shipping cost by 10% too. All this costs are reflected on the prices for sure. And I am sure you are seeing prices for most things has gone up noticeably on Amazon or Walmart. Inflation, evitable.

Does it have studs to stand them up ?

No, this does not stand. It must be wall mounted.

Is there a way to lock the case?

There is no way to lock the case the way it is, but there are latches at the bottom to keep it securely closed. The latches wouldn't keep anyone over the age of 2 or so out. However, I would think it would be fairly trivial to add a lock from a hardware store if this were an issue.

Nice display case. Worth the money.

This display is great for Lego mini figures. The included plates work well with most mini figures. The plates are 5 studs deep so I was able to stagger my mini figures to get even more in the case (middle picture for a closeup). The plates are thin so they do they to bend upwards at the ends. You can use the included double sided tape to keep them down. I didn't want to tape my plates down so I added 1x10 plates to the ends to connect them to the adjacent plate to hold the ends down (picture on the right). Warning - older mini figures with dark red or brown legs are brittle and will most likely crack if you put them on any type of studded plates, even lego brand plates, so do so at your own risk.

Great for Mini Figs. Material OK.

Well made, good clean joints. The “wood” is actually a plastic type material or PVC. Shelves will flex with heavier weight. Worked fine for LEGO mini figs. Taller ones just fit, ie Marge Simpson is maximum height. I will get another to match as my collection grows.

More spacious that anticipated

Dimensions exactly as stated on product description, actually fits more that stated if you utilize all of the space and put 2 rows per shelf, each shelf holds about 55 figures total, would regiment led light straps because the deeper rows are kinda hard to see, opens from the bottom, so either load it completely before wall mounting it, or mount it with ample space to open the case

Pricey, but well worth it!

I still have not filled this display case up fully so plenty of room for a growing minifig collection.Solid construction, good case!

Poor quality

Poor quality all around. had to order a replacement because a nail shot past the shelving unit and was sticking in the display part of the case. replacement unit had very rough, poorly cut stud plates for the minifigs to stand on. glue all over the edges of the case.
