Fantastic
First: the green cutter is not manual, meaning you can't have the blade out and locked in position. The orange one is the knife you want because that one has the manual positioning (you can lock the blade in place, up to three different positions, including sliding it out of sight). So, order the orange one if you want the ability to lock your blade in place and don't want to hold the button down when cutting a box open. Next: the sharp side of the blade is on the outside of the knife, rather than the inside. So, you're going to be cutting down rather than up. In other words: turn the knife around to use the sharp side. It works fine if you just use the sharp side. This isn't so intuitive as you might think, though, so that's why I point it out as a lot of people are claiming on here the blades are dull. That's not true; you just have to make sure to use the sharp side of the blade. I do really like the design of this little box cutter, pen knife, what have you. It's safer than an X-Acto because I can retract it, but sharp enough for me to get into boxes and cut through cardboard. You do have to make sure you use the sharp side of the blade when cutting, and cut in the angle in line with the blade. Someone said their blade shattered. Never happened with mine. This works great. I'll be getting more in the future, probably, great brand and great product. Just make sure you get the one with the orange button rather than the green button, otherwise you're going to have a bad time.

Great for mail/packages
This little cutter is simply awesome. We bought this as a replacement. We received our first one as a gift, and it quickly became the mail-center tool we never knew we needed. The little ceramic blade is perfect for Amazon packages, mail, clamshell packages, etc., but is very unlikely to cut your skin. You can run the blade across your skin and it doesn't scratch or cut you. It cuts packages like it's sharper than it actually is. When it went missing, we immediately ordered another. It's just that handy and useful. If I lost this one, I'd immediately order another. If you're considering buying this, you won't regret it. Over the course of its life, it never seemed to dull.

It makes me want to buy more things just so I can use it.
I've been really impressed by this cutter. It really does cut everything you want it to with ease while also not risking cutting my fingers (I actually tried, just to test it). I was worried about the durability of the blade being ceramic, but I haven't had any issues with it at all. It cuts through all manners of tape and packaging like butter and I even now use it to cut my cardboard boxes into smaller pieces so I can fit them in my recycling bin easier (it's also just really satisfying to use so I'm just looking for excuses now). The locking blade works well and I've not had any worries about it slipping while cutting stuff up. The only thing it had difficulty cutting through was a double-layer sturdy cardboard box that my 60 lb. office chair was packaged in, and it was mostly because the cardboard was so thick the blade just wasn't long enough. Aside from that, I've completely ditched my utility knife and I feel much safer opening all manners of packaging, whether boxes or those weird plastic clamshell things that destroys every pair of scissors you own. I got the manually locking retracting blade which I think is the right move; I imagine using the auto-retracting blade would be a lot more frustrating to use. The pen shaped design also means it's just as easy to just keep it handy in a cup on your countertop with some other pens and pencils rather than in a drawer if you so choose.

Easy to use
This is a handy, lightweight pen cutter. It’s small and easy to use. It’s sharp for a while but doesn’t last long. I really like this little cutter and have used 2 of them. The second one will still work, the first one was quickly worn out.

Great for Cutting Amazon Boxes
Having a home business means that every day there is a stack of boxes at my door, many of which are from Amazon. After opening hundreds of them with a variety of things (pens, scissors, kitchen knives), I decided it was probably time to order a dedicated box opener. I've never liked the steel blade kinds, as I've cut myself a few times and I also have small children in the house. I wanted something easy to use and carry around, as opposed to the industrial box cutters that are solid metal. Finally, I didn't want anything with a blade that would be too long, because you can easily cut valuables inside of the packages with a traditional box cutter. This product fit the bill perfectly, and I even bought two more. The blade is small but sharp, and is perfect for cutting the tape around boxes. This isn't a great cutter if you are trying to cut up cardboard, but it's perfect for cutting thick paper and plastic tape that comes on the boxes you get from online purchases. The cutter fits perfectly into my pocket when not in use, and seems to have lasted a while. I chipped a blade a while back, but it was because I dropped it. Otherwise, it's been a great tool that I think most regular Amazon users should invest in!

Cuts cardboard very well
I bought this to cut PET tape for the stickers. I needed a finer blade than the one I had on my Xacto. However the ceramic blade does not extend far enough out of the blade's housing to do fine cut work, instead I used the tool to break down cardboard boxes for recycling. It is very effective for that job.

Super consigliato

It's not exceptional. The grip isn't very good as it's a bit bulky and the area of work gets hidden beneath the unbuildy body.
