Will it stick to a rubber surface?

My son put it on his shoe soles ( a kind of rubber I assume) and it stayed for a short while but eventually came off

Super good adhesion. Good amount as well. I taped 2 longboard decks and I still have a little left over so totally worth the money.

Is it non abrasive? Ripping through 70 dollar shoes gets annoying

Grip tape is just adhesive backed sandpaper(an abrasive) marketed for a different purpose. The coarser the grit, the more it will wear down your shoes, but the less it will work. Non-abrasive grip tape would just be paper.
