Atwood

Growing up in Southern California, in the 70's, Vans was a huge part of my life. Mostly because all the cool kids in the school yard had them, and I didn't. In my household, $25 for a pair of boy's sneakers was a big outlay. Then, Vans came and filmed a commercial on the Cal State University of Fullerton campus. We got to be a part of it, and we each walked away with a gift certificate for one free pair of shoes at our local Vans Store. (This was when Vans' retail presence was a factory-direct approach where you could buy off the shelf, or they'd order them in, or they'd literally customize a pair on the spot.) That same day, we were standing at the counter, in Mission Viejo, off old La Paz. I do believe my parents were even happy to throw in a few bucks to finally make my dream come true. For the first time, I hit the street with a pair of Vans "Off The Walls" on my feet. Checkered slip-ons, no less! Fast forward 25 years, and I got back into skateboarding, in my mid-30's. Vans was still around, but it was the era of "puffy shoes", and so I went through pairs of DC's, or whatever the hot brand was at the time. Fast forward nearly 20 more years, and I'm still skating, and after nearly five years in the same pair of DC's, I decided I needed to find a replacement. And because I'm the breadwinner of the family, I went looking for something to fit our budget. While pricing varies based on size and color, I found what's turned out to be the perfect skate shoe for me. And at 1979 prices! Even more, one day, I forgot my socks and had to go full Jeff Spicoli. I will happily purchase the Vans Men's Atwood Sneaker again.

Classic ...

Ordered the shoe. The quality is great as are the shoe laces. Only complaint so far is that the end of the tongue on the inside of the shoe can be felt and mildly annoying, not sure if this is due to the shoe it not being broken in yet.

Usually buy my vans from the stores took a chance on these on sale worked out nice

These look nice and fit okay but if you wear these everyday, they'll fall apart under that year.

The shoes fits perfectly and their very comfortable, and their not heavy at all. The material just by looking at it you can tell its a good quality material. In conclution the shoes are amazing.

Queste scarpe sono una sicurezza, un classico intramontabile e comprate ad un prezzo assurdamente basso. Vestono comode e sono utilizzabili sia in inverno che d'estate senza particolari fastidi. Consigliatissime!

Item is good

Come da titolo è originale, tanto basta, se conoscete il modello e l'avete già provato al piede acquistatelo qui. Consiglio metodo per la scelta della taglia: anziché affidarsi al solito numero che acquistate per altre calzature (variabile da modello a modello, da marca a marca) che tra l'altro non è sempre riportato sulle scatole nella scala IT o EU, utilizzate un riferimento univoco. Misurate la lunghezza del piede più lungo in cm, annotatela o tenetela a mente. Quando avrete bisogno di comprare a "scatola chiusa" un paio di scarpe qualsiasi, cercate la tabella delle taglie fornita dal produttore. Se viene mostrata la corrispondenza del numero (qualunque sia la scala utilizzata) con la lunghezza in cm dei piedi (ovviamente considerate il più lungo), saprete quasi per certo quale taglia selezionare perché ad esempio il 43 delle Timberland modello "X" non è il 43 delle Converse All Star o delle Vans Atwood quindi anche se trovate la corrispondenza 43 IT - 9,5 US non fidatevi, fidatevi invece del numero che il produttore in questione abbina alla lunghezza dei vostri piedi.
