Men in Black I and II [Blu-ray]

Perfect for my needs

As it is a science fiction story, now a classic, one cannot judge its realism. The humour is maintained throughout the series and all the main actors pull their weight. I have viewed these disks at least three times each and see no reason to stop viewing them every year or two.

I've got to say, i was sort of on the fence for how the video quality would be for this release. But i shouldnt have been. The picture and audio quality is superb, with tons of special features and hours of fun. The movies themselves are legendary in mainstream scifi and comedy. With the genious duo Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones. With tons of good actors. I highly reccomend this on Blu-Ray.

Wow!!it's amazing how cgi ages over time, No matter how good it looks today. Within a few years it may look terrible and oh wow can that be said of MIB II. Some of the cgi is woefull. The scene with Will Smith on Jeffrey the worm in the subway is dreadful the lighting or shadows just make it look cartoon like. Then the scence of Lara Flynn Boyle's alien finger going through Johnny knoxville's head again have aged badly. Anyway enough with my moaning. The film it's self is ok not a patch on part one which is way better. But it's okay should it be a wet weekend. The first MIB is a fine film and much better than the second one.

Can't really warm to the third installment, pretty much a cash cow exercise in my opinion. Was happy to see the first two offered as a double bill rather than as a trilogy box set, as the third disc would become a coaster.Excellent quality picture and audio with a nice selection of extras. Well worth an upgrade from DVD.

This is ok, not as good a movie as I would've expected but sequels very rarely are good value though

Okay, its target audience is probably children and families and once that was the case for me, but even now these 2 are absolute classics with sci-fi, surreality, horror, fantasy, comedy, action and coolness. If you haven't seen MIB yet then you're really missing a treat. And imo MIB2 is equally if not better than MIB. Worth every penny and will deffo me watched several times! Iconic!

It's good to have the two together as the second follows on from the first and for fans of Tommy Lee Jones and/or Wil Smith it's a must. Good story line, great special affects, characters covering the whole range (heroes, villains , comics), and the films can vary from amusing to moving. Both great films, watch them in order.

Literally purchased 12 years ago, even then at a bargain price, I thought it was about time to at least squeak in a two thumbs up for the twin pack of these films if you can still get them from third party sellers. Noting from the low star reviews here there seems to be some international sellers of the Bluray who are hawking PAL (Euro spec) videos and obviously the purchasers are not aware. I don't think it is fair for buyers to rate the films 1-Star based on a bad purchase, that should be addressed when reviewing the seller performance and not when reviewing the movie, a totally different area for rating your transaction. Bear that in mind when reading these reviews and noting the overall rating of the item.While MIB is the superior film to MIB II, both films are a fun fest for older fans of the comic book series and newer fans of the humor-adventure sci-fi genre. Smith and Jones (see what they did there?) are perfect yin-yang pieces to each other in both their acting in the film and their opposing styles. If you like these movies I urge you to complete the series with Men In Black 3 which actually completes the story cycle in a perfect circle, filmed more than a few years later, the special effects are amped up even more, the story becomes again as apocalyptic as these two, and the finale brings the story arch to a satisfying close with no open ends (assuring no MIB IV).Since purchasing these two, I subsequently was given the Blurays of the entire series, I want to say that while those who have uber-tech screens will probably notice clarity sharpness issues of some small sort, the rest of us with 70" or less viewing and good quality AV Receivers will be fully satisfied with these DVD issues. They have terrific DTS surround and crystal clear beautiful picture transfer. If these were grand classics on a par with 2001 A Space Odyssey or Lord Of The Rings trilogy, I might be inclined to steer you to the ultimate quality available, but these are MIB, made for fun watching and easy eye candy. Bypass a night of Survivor or Amazing Race and enjoy a frolick with the Agency who protects us from extraterrestrial annihilation on a daily basis.

Ich denke, wenn man Infos zu den Filmen sucht, wie z.B. inhaltliche Zusammenfassungen oder Kritiken, dann kann man dies auch woanders in Erfahrung bringen, Stichwort "Filmdatenbanken". Für mich gehören in eine DVD-Rezension Infos zur Lieferung, Verpackung und Zubehör (wie z.B. Bonusmaterial, Sprachen, u.s.w.).Die DVD kam, wie von Amazon gewohnt, super schnell in bekannter guter Verpackung. A pair of movies I previously owned in VHS and bought back in DVD since I like to watch them once every few years, when I have forgotten most of the content. They are also linked with memories of raising our children.Good acting, inventive scenarios, action wisely interspersed, light humor all along. Good special effects.Both movies deal with the interventions of an occult agency monitoring the secret presence and activity of aliens on earth. Unsettling incidents occur and are dealt with by the main characters.Noted presence of Tommy Lee Jones, Will Smith, Rip Torn, Linda Fiorentino and many other known actors.
