My favorite mainline Shockwave figure
Shockwave, whose myriad incarnations display a wide-ranged spectrum of loyalties to Megatron, has been immortalized in many different figures over nearly 4 decades. Takaratomy and Hasbro have provided versions that tease us into hoping for a definitive mainline version but this Siege figure has come the closest if you discount the Masterpiece figures. Robot mode is very reminiscent of the original G1 figure, with the gun barrel neatly folding over as a backpack, instead of the original loose part-former gun remnant needing to magically disappear. The official alt mode is a space battleship ala Star Blazers when you add the flying sled pieces. If you omit the supplemental battleship parts and put the battleship upside down, you see that the designers surreptitiously gave fans a pretty darn good off-label G1 alt-mode while dodging the wrath of the overly protective and their lawyers. With inflation, Transformers seem to be shrinking in relationship to their class. This "Leader" class figure is the height of a small Voyager figure. I suppose the many plastic sled parts add to the plastic volume. Nonetheless Siege Shockwave scales very well with the fellow Siege figures of Megatron, Soundwave, and the Seekers. While I've never owned a G1 Shockwave, this figure does stir some nostalgia for the charm of the beautiful original toy.

People complain but...
A lot of reviews online seem to complain that soundwave is a voyager class at a leader price. I can understand the upset but in my opinion, Soundwave is worth the purchase price. He comes with a decent amount of add ons and his battle mode looks very nice. Very high-quality paint and battle details. Still one of my favorite transformers. I would definitely recommend him.

HELP ME!
This is Log 50 my living room is a lab that Shockwave has made and it's guarded by the rainmakers and Blitzwing controls most of the ground troops. Me and the Autobots hide in my room protecting it. But Shockwave is in charge until the council of Megatrons comes back from fighting optimises group why until more Autobot arrivals come we have to hold out...For real tho this Shockwave figure is great not a bad joint in him but his armor attachments are a bit loose when you combine them into their hoverboard like the pegs have deteriorated a little but it's not a problem

A worthwhile addition to your collection, if at the right price.
I got this figure at $30, so it was definitely worth the cost. If at MSRP of $50, I would not be as happy with my figure, or bought it.Pros: Good sculpt, pretty good articulation, good paint apps.Cons: Some pegs are a little loose, when combining.Misc: Some might be turned off by what appears to be random assortments of parts on Shockwave. I thought it was fine, but would have liked to see a little more thought into the Shockwave's battle armor. It doesn't feel very cohesive. On a side note, you can put some parts with Siege Voyager Megatron for extra play value. (The Shockwave's battle armor pegs fit onto Megatron's ports)

One of the best Shockwave versions to date
Except for masterpiece Shockwave, this is the best version to date. He's a bit smaller than I would like, but He's a great figure. Lots of poseability, The extra armor makes for interesting extras and can be used with other siege characters. The price is a little steep for his height, but I think that's due to the extra plastic used in making this character. He's solid and doesn't feel hollow.

He loved it.
He added it with his other transformers.

A logical purchase.
At first I was only interested in the figure. However, I was pleasantly surprised by how fun the extra parts were. The box art is amazing and the figure looks cool, though the knee joints are a little stiff . Apart from that, this is an amazing figure and I'd say it's well worth the purchase.
