These remote switches are amazing and work very well. I wanted to add some floodlights to the back of my house and wanted them where I could switch them on from inside the house. I had to use two of these switches to work 4 floodlights. One of the units is on the back porch and the other is at the far end of the house about 50 feet away, and I can turn them all on at once making my backyard light up like a football field. Got the plug in LED flood lights here on Amazon as well.

They work good and are good to control lights with.Plug in and ready to go. Just use remote.

I've only had this item for a very short time, but, so far, I am very, very pleased with it. I have a very dark area on my entry patio and always feel very uncomfortable on those occasions when I have to step outside after dark. I remembered that I had an outside 5 foot high post light in my garage that I decided to use in that area. I originally set up that light with a timer, but that meant that the light was on all night long until the timer shut off. I thought to myself, "If only there was a way that I could turn that light on and off as needed, that would be great." So, of course, I went on Amazon and found exactly what I was hoping actually existed. I keep one remote just inside my entry door, and the other one I carry with me whenever I go out just in case I get home after dark so that I can switch the light on before I enter my walkway. It's a wonderful safety device. Also, much to my surprise, if I hear anything outside, I can activate the light from inside, which was a very pleasant surprise for me since the signal actually has to pass through cinder block walls. Well, so far it performs exactly as I hoped it would. How long it will last is anyone's guess, but for now, I am very pleased with this item, and I am glad I went for the two remotes instead of just one. This remote lighting system will also work great during the Holidays. It will eliminate the need for me to run outside and pull the plug on lights after a certain time of night. Actually, thinking about that, I just might purchase another. I am very pleased with this item. Great purchase!

Works well and I finally figured out how to open the battery compartment on the remote. On the back of the remote, near the top, there is a recessed area approximately 3/4" by 3/8". On the top side of that recessed area is a little ridge of black plastic. That ridge is the top part of a little tray that holds the battery. If you press upward on the little ridge, the little tray slides up and out. I had been trying to press the little ridge with the pad of my thumb, but that did not work. What worked was to use a tool, like the tip of a letter opener, or you could use a flat-blade screwdriver, and press against the ridge, pushing the ridge up. [When I say up, imagine that the remote is hanging by its key-chain, and up means toward the ceiling.] I hope this is helpful to somebody.

So, we purchased this last August and kept it in use for much of the time. It had great range with the remotes and kept away from the elements undercover but outside. As of last week, it became to become harder for the remote reach but still did within half the range. Then one afternoon I realized that about 30 minutes after turned it on my item stopped working. Came to find the outlet in use had started melting around where you plug into it. We were able to remove the plug but apparently it had overheated and melted that area. Therefore it was no good anymore but at least it stopped working when it defectively melted. I was able to continue to use my small appliance directly in the wall, so knowing this was only related to this outlet device. It did work a few months so best can give is 3 stars, but not long.UPDATE: Contacted the seller in regards to the warranty and was immediately in contact with them. Discussed that the device plugged in after few months may have been a little much for it, not sure... but they sent me a replacement. I have upgraded it to 4 stars as not sure why it happened but the seller was very understanding and made it good!

Greatest invention since the "Clap on - Clap off" !! I installed patio lights around the top of our lani here in Florida (my wife insisted on them). But she had to go and plug and unplug them every night. I found this remote control, ordered it and installed it without her knowing. Then I held the remote control in my hand (she couldn't see it) and told her she could control the lights by clapping her hands. She clapped her hands and I pushed the button and they tured off. She was absolutely amazed! Until I showed her the remote control. Had a really good laugh. She loves it! Super easy install, just plut it into the outlet and the lights into the unit. Remote control has on and off, simple. Good quality and we'll more than likely get one or two more for lights inside too. Highly recommended for the lazy....

Perfect - I can now turn on my outside waterfalls (2) remotely when I want to enjoy them - no techy problems just plug and play. I'll re-review after using for a period of time to see how long the life time is.

Multiple benefits hard to overlook.# 1 benefit is that each outlet gives you two sockets to plug in. So, ultimately you’re controlling six devices out of one remote, which is great.# 3 benefit is that the ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ buttons are separate. I hate it when the same key is used to turn ‘ON’ and ‘OFF a feature. So, when your trying to turn something ‘ON’ or ‘OFF’ you don’t end up pushing the same key, accidentally turning ‘ON’ and ‘OFF’ the same device because the response delay.In the end, it works if you’re within range. The 100f claim is definitely a stretch.

I will be 2 yrs in a few weeks that I have owned these and I highly recommend them. I keep one plugged in for year round use with my patio mini lights. The other two I use for Halloween and Christmas lights. They always work and I love how I can turn all my outdoor lights off inside. I use plugs in front and back of my house and have no issues, once or twice I had to reprogram but its easy and occasionally when all three are in use I have to walk from front to back of house to get closer range for turning off I am inside the house when I do this.
