Works well on stones to sharpen your knifes.

I use this with a red oil stone to clean gasket surfaces. Works great for this purpose. The self-cleaning ability of the liquid helps a lot. I've used other oils and they cut well but smear so much dirty oil everywhere. This oil doesn't do that and cuts the same.Great price and works well.

Have only used once but seemed to do what is supposed to. I feel it is hard to control getting just a drop or two out where and when you want it, came out a little too freely.

Great honing stone liquid to help keep the stone moist and lubricated while sharpening blades.

I'm picky on certain things like my oil for my knifes and I bought this honing oil and actually love. It will be a while. I only sharpen my knifes and carving tools. I check them every time I use them. thanks for the nice job.

Just sharpened some of my knives with this new oil. It seems to work ok, but the oil beads up like water on a non porous surface. I'm not sure if that's good or bad, but all of the honing oils I've used over the years have absorbed into the stones. This oil beads up & rolls right off as soon as I apply a knife edge. I can't really tell if any of the oil is staying on the stone & doing it's job. I've tried rubbing the oil into the stone with my finger before sharpening the knife, but all it does is break up the large water beads into smaller beads. On re-reading the info on the product page, I now realize it's a water based product. I don't understand why they made it a water based oil instead of a petroleum based oil.
