Ocean Kayak Comfort Plus Seat Back (Black), one size

I have a Field & Stream Eagle Talon 12 and the seat it comes with is very uncomfortable. The backrest on this seat is awesome! Today was the first day using my kayak with this seat. My back felt great after a few hours of fishing. I love the high backrest it has. Very easy and simple to install as well. For the money, I couldn't beat it. A friend of mine sent me the link to this because he loves his as well.I would recommend using something as extra padding on the seat. It is comfortable, but I am going to use something to make the seat a little thicker which will make it more comfortable.Update: April 22, 2019. I used the original seat that came with the kayak as more padding to sit on. It has helped much more thus entire time.

Bought this seat for a replacement on my field and stream 12 ft kyak eagle talon and it fit great. The back support is good much better than the low profile seat that came with the kyak. So for the price of this seat you can't go wrong. This seat doesn't have the most padding so you get what you pay for but overall it's a good prices replacement and supports your back. I'm rating it 5 stars because it's what I expected. Pay more money if you want more padding. Otherwise the seat is comfortable to me.

These are very good chairs for the price. They fit well in my 2-man ocean kayak and hold tight when fully strapped in. These seats give you the comfort to enjoy kayaking for extended periods of time. I'm 6'3 so the back piece doesn't go as far up my back as I would like but other bigger seats didn't fit my budget. It defiantly gives nice support for you to push against while paddling.Pros -Easy to strap in.Solid metal clasps are stury.Straps hold well against weight.Dries quicklyPriceCons -Seat could have more padding but it not unbearable.

The two of us were out on our tandem kayak in the Gulf of Florida this morning and the wife said, "These new kayak seats are amazing. Have you written a review yet"?We thought about going to a higher price point, but these seats worked out fine for us. Fantastic lower back support for both of us -- I'm 6' and she's 5'2". They're easily adjustable for the best fit. Yeah, the seat bottom could be a bit thicker, but it's good enough for us for the typical one to two hour paddle.Would recommend, for sure.

I have two tandems and a single. I bought all new seats this year. I ordered two of these at first for one of my tandems. I was really surprised with the quality since it was considerable less than others I was looking at. I liked it do much I bought three more for my other tandem and single. These seats replaced seats that were very used and 2-3 tes there price. The new seats worked just as well and were just as comfortable. I katak in the bay and ocean and all three kayaks are top seated. The salt water is tuff on most materials. So far these seats are holding up well. Oh yea easy up install and adjust.

I have an Field and Stream Eagle Run 12ft sit in. The seat that comes with it is not too great but but this seat worked out great. I put this thing to work on an 8 day kayaking trip and it held up. Takes a second to get the straps adjusted to your comfort. I recommend trying on the ground first. I accidentally messed with the straps and tried adjusting while I was on the water and it didn’t work too well. It’s 100x more comfortable than my original seat. If I get another kayak, I’ll likely buy this seat again.

I received this just in time to go kayaking in the ocean Saturday morning, but I had a little breakdown immediately, as one of the "solid brass" fasteners broke in half as soon as I put a little weight on the seat, as I was pushing back into the seat pad. It turns out that the fasteners are apparently hollow! Luckily, I had saved the fasteners from my previous kayak seat and had them handy. They are of much higher quality. I exchanged the old one for this busted piece and it worked great after that. I guess that's the difference between 5 years ago and now. The butt-padding is just okay, about the same amount of thin cushion as the original stock pad. The best part about this replacement is the seat back, which gave plenty of support.

Excellent product. I have a cheap-o sit on top kayak located on a jungle lake near Tarapoto in Peru. Previously I would start to get an aching back after paddling for 15 minutes. Now I can go for hours witout my back hurting.It was easy to install even though my kayak had no deck eyes to attach it. I just ran some coarse threaded screws right into the roto-molded plastic and they are holding up just fine.

They are are little bigger than my originals that were extremely sun faded on my ocean kayak but for vey good! A bigger person good sit in them comfortably!! Great value
