Great starter kit, cheap for what it includes and decent in quality. It has everything you need when you start making models and then some. The side cutters are quite slim and decent, but they are not slim enough for some of the smaller and more detailed kits. The scalpel/ model knife/xacto knife is pretty sharp and comes with enough blades to keep you going for some time.Definitely would recommend

Great starter kit for a lot of hobbies. Cutting mat is sturdy and will protect any flat surface underneath although it's not very big but it does what I need it for. Clamps and tools work well but again they are not heavy duty tools so don't expect to use them for DIY. Ideal set for models, card making or any small pieces of art work.

I'll be honest, these tools are fine for beginners and if you're looking at these you're probably a beginner. Now a beginner does not need high end or expensive tools. They need tools made for a beginner. Some could say these are the platonic ideal of beginners tools. That is they are perfectly ideal for a beginner. They are completely average one may even say mediocre but that is all a beginner needs. Seriously though I gave them 5 stars just because they were well enough made that they didn't immediately burst into flames when I removed them from the packing.

Good starter set with all of the essential items needed to take up modelling as a serious hobby. Cutting mat is relatively thick, and of good quality, giving you piece of mind whilst using the scalpel provided. Nice sharp stainless steel scalpel, good quality tweezers and easy to use clamps are very good quality and easy to use.

The clippers don't work well with standard spru's so buy one seperately.Otherwise this is a really good kit.

Nice kit, but the mat is a bit small for larger builds like 1:48 airplanes or tanks.Good for beginners.

Good starter kit for my return to modelling after many years.Mostly useful and good for the money but the tweezers (for the decals) are very iffy.Clamps are very good.

I purchased this starter kit for model making as I have been away from the hobby for many years. Its ideal for beginners or people taking the hobby up again. Everything is included that some needs to get started. At the price you would spend a lot more buying everything speratly. It will serve me for many years.
