Denso First Time Fit Alternator - 210-0614

I bought this to replace the original alternator in my '07 tC that had 146,256 miles on it as I had a sneaking suspicion that it was close to kicking the bucket. The fit was a tad loose on install compared to the original, but once it was tightened up, it was perfect. After install I started the car and noticed smoke coming out of the new alternator - which come to find out - it is completely normal as it is just burning the oil residue from the manufacturer. Operationally, this thing is awesome! Not only does the car start faster, I have also noticed a huge improvement in horsepower and my sub hits way harder. I am so glad that I bought this OEM over an aftermarket and I highly recommend it!

I went with this rebuilt alternator by Denso since this is the OE. Its a high quality rebuild that was done in the USA as indicated on the box. It has many notable new parts that other rebuilders might not replace, like the plastic back cover. There were new Chinese units for the same price but a rebuild by the company that manufactures the alternator seemed a safer bet in terms of quality.

So far so good! Since it is OEM everything fits as it should. After spending hours weighing the purchase options I am glad I chose the exact same product that came with the car. You begin to have fitment problems when you go aftermarket.

My battery light kept coming on n off on my scion tc 2008. I had an aftermarket alternator which lasted me about 2 years from advance auto .denso is the original Toyota parts oem. good quality so far so good only been on 1 week. Only thing I was worried about when I received the alternator from Amazon was that it looked burned from the inside the gold coil wiring inside dont know what its called. But i took it to autozone to get it tested and it passed . Also was cheaper than what the toyota dealer price was .
