Hello Brian, this tester is strength forward to use if your a Tech person or a person in audio field and you build your own cables that is what this tester is for, testing cables for the broken connections and make sure that point to point is wired correct. Any more question please ask. There is no manual mines didn't come with none because I have an electrical background.
