Why would I would I want a lead Bibb anyhow??
Worked great, couldn’t find a lead free bib locally. Wasn’t comfortable using one with a lead warning for our garden. Thanks a bunch!

Safety First
After I installed the backflow preventer, I recognized its value when I was coiling the garden hose and I saw water gushing out of the preventer. I am not sure whether there was a problem in the past, but when a simple behavior started the device working convinced me that there is less liklihood of something unwanted getting into the house's water supply.

You will get soaking wet
I got this to replace an older one that was installed on my front yard hose outlet. It started spraying water out the sides whenever I turned off the faucet. After spending a lot of time getting the old one off, I thought this new one would solve the problem. Fail. Water still sprays everywhere out the sides of the unit when you turn off the faucet. Much more so than the one I took off I have to stand as far away from the faucet as possible and then turn it off. It still gets me wet.Not recommended if you are replacing one that has a similar problem as mine did. You'll just waste a lot of time for nothing.

Prevent contaminating your water supply.
If your home or business was built before modern plumbing codes that have been updated, these are a must. Use them to prevent backflow of your hose and contaminate your water supply.
