Excellent Battle
This volumes covers chapters 7 - 14 of Btooom! and for anime viewers still follows the anime quite well. In any event the only criticism I have for this volume is that the cover art is an odd choice as she isn't in this volume until chapter 14 so it seemed odd. Kousuke is the true start here and one of the fresh personalities in the franchise. His past is a bit on the mature side and kind of extreme but it seemed to help shape him how he was considering his family situation.Ultimately, the BIMS introduced here are some of the best around. The volume shows how great the writer and associated artists are with making things fast paced, intense, and quite beautiful to behold. Whereas other authors would forgo environmental details in the midst of action, here we see the artist still fully decorate the pages with lush jungle landscapes. Some of the scenes are easily to get absorbed into because they are so detailed and lush. Its impressive.Definitely pick this one up, for Kousuke, and for the art and story.

Review of BTOOM! volumes 1-9
I am always torn as to whether I should watch the anime or read the manga first. (When both are available.) What works for me is to watch the anime first. It's less expensive and I might only have to invest about 6 hours of my time to discover if it was worth it. And if I like the voices in the anime that's how I hear the characters. Then I'll read the manga to fill in the details that are frequently left out of the anime for time consideration. If I read the manga first I'm always thinking "Why did they leave out the part where..." in the anime. While there isn't a lot of 'fleshing out' in these books I still found it to be worth the purchase. (And you see a little of the people behind the 'game'.) The drawing is quite detailed. If you liked the anime I recommend this series. If you're on the fence as to which way to go, I would say buy the manga. The stories are more complete and you can enjoy them at your own pace. (The first season of the anime is covered in volumes 1-8.)

Awesome manga here...
You can really feel an in depth amount of psychotic behaviour. You somehow just feel an attachment to a character or to just to find him/her blown to bits even if they are bad guys. The only bad thing I don't like about it is : there's always a cliff hanger at the end which makes you wanting to spend more cash because it's really good and you see all sorts of stupidity. I won't be specific on that so I don't spoil anything.Anyone who hasn't read book one, you may want to read it or otherwise you won't understand the idea of the story. Last thing book 2 does have a little something 2-14'yrs old you most certainly think is crazy but it's awesome to read.

~ I have got nothing to complain about. The book, no, the series, Btooom! Is absolutely one of my favorite. The details, the art, the characters, the storyline. Also, Kosuke Kira is my favorite character in this series, so I was looking forward to this book.I would recommend this to young people, that's into game of killing, bombs and nude stuff.

So good I'm angry the next isn't out yet!
I'm a huge fan of the Btooom! series and I've loved the first two mangas. They both came in great new condition. I just can't wait for vol. 3 to be translated into English and sold on amazon.co.uk!
